Introduction: After 30 years of restoring historic sites and vintage boats, I am rebooting my focus to the needs of real homeowners. I can provide for any scope of work, from handyman needs to structural work. My specialty is in the restoration of historic homes, but I am a licensed general contractor, and I can do repair or remodel work. I also specialize in painting (Fine Paints of Europe, Kaufman colors, graining and marbleizing, and yacht painting) and custom cabinetry. I am definitely "old school," but completely up-to-date with codes, compliance and insurance requirements. I have my own cabinet shop in Kensington MD, and I will travel within a 200-mile radius.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My work is more of a custom nature, not always a "production" type scope. I am available for problem or unusual jobs, as well as more conventional maintenance or construction projects. If a client does not have a treatment protocol established for any particular job, I can provide one. All I would like to know is what the client's needs and expectations are, and I can design the cost and scope around them.
