Planning for a West Point graduation is like planning a destination wedding for royalty. The weeklong pomp and ceremony of the cadets graduation and commissioning as an army officer on a highly secure and secluded army base requires months of planning. Some plan a year out. Booking hotels, helping guests navigate the campus, getting on and off base and through security check points, transportation to West Point and then around campus and town, planning for meals, seating at events, securing a spot for the commissioning ceremony, is not for the faint at heart or for amateurs. I hired a professional wedding and party planner. She booked lodging and reception hall, secured transportation service to and from post, arranged for breakfast food and snacks during commute to post, meals to be delivered to post for commissioning ceremony and food for our private reception back at the hotel. She had maps and program booklets with details of the events of the day and activities during free time. She thought of it all and executed it without a hitch. Meanwhile, I was able to enjoy the festivities of my son’s graduation and commissioning and enjoy the company of my guests. It was a memorable occasion. Jacqueline was beyond AMAZING. I booked her services for my wedding on Nov 4, 2017. She did an excellent job with decor, flowers, and day of coordination. Jacqueline was able to work with my budget and made my special day DELIGHTFUL! She can provide you with many of the things you'll need; making it a "one-stop-shop" experience. Jacqueline was very responsive, engaged, and always had an alternative plan. During the ceromony and reception, there were some last minute changes and she was able to keep the evening going flawlessly. Jacqueline was absolutely wonderful! I hired her to help me with the last few weeks of my wedding planning. Not only did she serve as a POC for the vendors a few weeks before the wedding so my husband and I didn’t have to worry about anything, but she did day-of management of the event. There were several times during the wedding ceremony and reception when she jumped into action. For example, she alerted the DJ when he played the wrong song for the groom and sister dance, and walked him through the Mr. and Mrs. Game. She also provided guidance during our dress rehearsal to make sure the ceremony would be just as we wanted. Jacqueline is super professional, extremely friendly, and a great listener! Mrs. Johnson was exceptional in the planningand in such a short time too (3 months)! She pulled off finding all the necessary vendors and people, and putting them in the right place at the right time. This wasn't an easy feat either, as our wedding was located in a very remote part of WV. She was very kind and always available to take on any problems or comments I had to say, even sometimes really late at night. I did not know much about most of what goes into getting married, but Mrs. Johnson was outstanding in terms of patience and explanation; at first I felt embarrassed, but she assured and guided me. My husband and I were very lucky to have found her so close to our date. We would recommend her to anyone for her services. (Personally, we had chosen the "Journey2YourBIGDay!" package.)
