Though we did not use Local Harvest for a catered event as initially planned, the communication with Mark Dietz was timely, informative and professional. The change of plans was completely at our end. I would consider using him in the future based on the communication so far. Apologies.

Chef Mark quickly planned and prepared a 5 course meal for my parents 65th Wedding Anniversary. They loved it! I highly recommend Chef Mark Dietz!

All the dishes were outstanding and left us asking for more. The shrimp stuffed avocado was sumptuous, the cucumber lobster salad so subtle but so full of taste. The black bean soup with chorizo was rich and hearty with just the right amount of spices. As for the stuffed pork Florentine it was mouth-watering. Without a doubt the chef is very experienced. He knows how to creatively combine the highest quality ingredients and spices to bring out the best of every dish and create magic at every meal. I would very highly recommend.

    At Local Harvest we take the time to learn our customers needs and preferences, what they like, what they don't like, what they can't eat, or what they'd love to try. Then we customize a menu of creative and healthy dishes for each of our customers. Real food, your way.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    Over 30 years in professional kitchens including time working in upscale, fine dining, eateries and down-home family restaurants, embassies, country clubs, and hotels. I attended Le Academie de Cuisine and I've been a Culinary Instructor there and at Job Corps and at DC Central Kitchen.
