Beyond grammatical and discourse elements in communication, CLT is probing the nature of social, cultural and pragmatic features of language. It explores pedagogical means for "real-life" communication in the classroom. I use CLT to develop linguistic fluency, not just accuracy that has so consumed their historical journey. I try to use techniques that focus on learners' needs and goal, that give some control to the student, allow for student creativity and innovation, enhance a student's sense of competence and self-worth.
