Neil is very professional, and yet casual and passionate about what he does at the same time. He truly cares about his students and it shows! He's very adept at keeping his student's full attention and forming a partnership where building confidence is as important as learning the subject matter. We feel very fortunate to have found him and know already that we made the best decision possible. Five stars was not enough - he is truly an A+ tutor and an exceptional human being. Don't hesitate to call him!Apr 16, 2017Verified
Neil Grobman is a great tutor. Neil tutored me in the reading and writing portions of the SAT. We had lessons each week. He introducesd and elaborated on a different topic at each lesson. At the end, Neil assigns word parts and an essay for homework which helped to furthur expand the concepts. Neil made sure that he answers all of my questions and concerns. If he did not know the answer, Neil finds any sources that provides the answer. Neil provides an unique way to boost vocabulary, attack the essay, and complete the passage based questions. I have learned a lot from Neil and I recommend him to anyone in need of a responsible and dedicated tutor.Dec 16, 2014Verified

Apparently, this student gave me five stars, but I was hoping that this student would also submit a written statement as well. Perhaps they will add a written statement if it is re-requested.
He was an excellent tutor! Class A act. Lots of energy. Attempts to make lessons relatable and as fun as Algebra can be. Showed up on or before time, each lesson. He was very sweet and a wonderful teacher!!!Jul 24, 2015

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My pricing system is not complicated. I will charge between $40 to $60 per hour, depending on whether the subject matters are regular or advanced levels, the student is primary, middle, or high school. College level courses and most advanced maths or sciences may cost a bit more per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First, I assess their range of knowledge, looking for both strong points and weak points. Then I plan out an individualized program that will work for that student.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have two MA degrees and a PhD, and even did a post-doctoral stint at the Winterthur Museum in Delaware.
