Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: There's lots of people who know how to use an audio editing program, but what most of them lack is the ability to actually design audio. I use professional tools combined with 15 years of experience to help you put together a soundtrack that will blow your audience away. I love working with people. The joy on people's faces as the piece they've been putting together in their head comes to life in front of them is worth more than words can express.

I've worked with Speech for my music edits for over ten years, and believe me, he's the best there is. As a dance teacher, there were times that I knew exactly where I wanted my cuts done, but there were also so many instances where all I could say was "please make it sound right." Every time, Speech was right there with not only work of the highest quality, but a wonderful level of patience and flexibility as well. I can't recommend him highly enough!

Speechley was my sound designer for Unity Winter Ensemble (a competitive winter guard program in Cecil County, MD) from 1999-2005 and did an exceptional job. His attention to detail and quality is unparalleled by any othe sound engineer I have worked with since. Not only did he provide a high quality product, he also took the time to teach me about his craft. I highly recommend his services to anyone looking for quality, affordable sound design.

Michael Speechley edited and mixed music as well as worked the sound for our dance company's Spring Show. His knowledge of sound and the accompanying technology truly enhanced the audience's experience at our show. The music that he edited had flawless transitions and had a perfect balance for the dancers on stage to hear as well as the audience. I would recommend Michael Speechley to anyone looking for help with sound as he provides much support and assistance in addition to his positive and friendly nature!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

No complexity at all. Once we agree on a price, usually $200 per finished piece, that's what you pay, no matter how many changes we make to it.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Much of the time, clients will come to me with two to four pieces of music, and ask me to mix them into one piece using the times they specify. I also work with plenty of people who aren't sure what they want, they only have a couple of pieces, a theme, and a time limit. I'll work with them to develop a piece that's just what they need.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure the person you hire knows what he's doing in your specific sport or performance art. Lots of people can sticks pieces of music together, but if it doesn't work in your skating rink, or on your stage, it won't be your best performance.
