Jay was hired by my friends to cook a birthday dinner for me last year. We had 10 people and it was a great success! The meal consisted of delicious appetizers, beautifully displayed frozen drinks, seafood entrees and deliciously healthy side dishes. In addition to the quality food, Jay was comfortable in my kitchen as well as the secondary cooking/serving area which was 6 floors below. He was a pleasure to work with and a wonderful addition to the event! I recommend him to anyone considering his services.

First encountered Grateful Catering in the early 90s. I was a guest at several dinner parties they provided the food and service for. I have had the pleasure of encountering Jay's innovative and fresh cuisine many more times over the years. I recommend Jay and his team for top-notch food (ask him if he can make you dover sole or baked clams!) and service with a smile. You will not be disappointed. The only thing that could be better would be if Jay opened another restaurant so I can enjoy his food whenever the mood strikes me.

Jay Minzer has been my go-to caterer and culinary adviser for two decades. I have been to his public cooking classes, including one alongside Chef Paul Prudhomme; and he has been in my home for both private cooking lessons and formal dinner parties too many times to count. Jay has even catered my kids' birthday parties every few years, from ages 5 to 20. Jay is reliable, always ready with a grin and a joke, and will put a menu together that will fit the occasion to a tee.

I was originally introduced to Jay when living in S Fla, so when Anna, my fiancée, and I were planning our wedding in Flat Rock, NC in '08, we contacted Jay to see if he had any interest in having us fly him into Asheville, NC (closest airport) and put together a rehearsal dinner and wedding menu that we knew would be fantastic! We were married on May 17th 2008 @ Camp Pinnacle in Flat Rock, NC and needless to say, Jay with only a camp kitchen pulled off 2 days of food that far surpassed our expectations!
