Our family was so thrilled with the time we had with Jovian this past summer! Our three children had never played the piano before and Jovian created such a fun and interesting learning environment for them that they all looked forward to each lesson and enjoyed practicing.
Jovian is a real professional, arriving on time, explaining his process thoroughly and kept the children on task while still having fun. We look forward with working with him again next summer.

We found Jovian online, and choose to give him a chance because he came very well recommended. Jovian has been working now with our 10-year-old daughter for the past 4 months and he has been extremely nurturing and effective as a teacher. Our biggest concern was that she would become bored with formal instruction and would lose interest in lessons and it would be a waste of money, but the experience has been the complete opposite. He has a very practical and intelligent approach to teaching, and our daughter has really fallen in love with playing the piano. And because of her enthusiasm and hard work he has brought her along at the faster pace because she has been challenging herself with her homework to learn as much as possible.The entire experience of taking lessons and learning to play the piano has been beneficial for her and for her self-esteem. She has been able to see immediate results from her hard work and this is teaching her great live lessons. We did not realize that pianolessons could bring so much joy to her already busy life, but she looks forward all week to her lesson. When she learned to play the main song from Moana she didnt stop smiling or playing it for a week!!Jovian has incorporated technology into her homework assignments, so it is fun and she can work on her lessons anytime. The work is recorded and assessed so he can give feedback and notes remotely. He has always been extremely generous with his time and willing to help her anytime during the week if she has any issues with that weeks lesson. He really is the ideal modern teacher. He has a great positive energy to his teaching, and is a very polite and professional instructor. We are looking forward to working with him for many years to come, and to get our son into lessons in a couple years when he is ready to learn.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Students begin with a Trial Lesson where we can meet and experience a complete lesson. It's a great way to test drive a lesson without the concerns of long-term commitment and to ensure a perfect fit between the student and the teacher.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started playing the piano on my own at age seven and started taking formal lessons by the age of ten. I studied under various instructors and was accepted into the piano program at Dreyfoos School of the Arts. Thereafter I worked with many professionals and transitioned to New York for 4 years. I now reside again in Florida and have worked as a performer, composer and producing music for Radio and TV.
