I thought I only needed a steam cleaning but the sofa had pet odor so he recommended a deep clean and gave me a great rate. He did an excellent job. Very professional and courteous. Would definitely use his services again and refer him.

Needed to have our vents cleaned to get rid of a bad odor emanating from the ducts/vents. After cleaning and finding out the smell was actually coming from the ducts themselves (they were very old, discolored, had mold, outdated fiberglass style ducts). This happens to ducts like this over time and replacement was the only option. Bruce really worked with us and did a great job. His pricing was very fair and he really was considerate since we already payed to have the ducts cleaned and then realized more work would be necessary. He is a hard worker and really cares about the job he is doing and making sure his clients are happy, as well as very communicative throughout the entire process. We can confidently recommend him. He is also a very positive and optimistic person and really just a cool guy to be around.

William worked with our schedules, came over on time, and completed the work quickly. The price was a little more than I was expecting, but still very reasonable. About 9 hours after the cleaning there was a pet smell in a few spots, but we has asked for a carpet cleaning because the previous owners of our new house had pets. The smell seems to be gone today. I would recommend William to others looking for this service.

Levoughn was very professional and informative. He provided service to my couch/chair/rug. The couch and chair are practically brand new again. The couch is very lite colored couch. He cleaned my rug, too, that I purchased from Pottery Barn. I was a bit nervous having it cleaned but it looks great. I do have two dogs and there is still a tad bit of dog odor on the rug but other than that, the service was an A.

Anthony was very professional. The end result was amazing. Not only did he get rid of several pet stains. He got rid of the horrific smell of dog urine in our carpets and on our tile (that could not be removed by a general cleaning and spot carpet cleaning).

Luis is a true professional. He came across some challenges with drying my rug and an odor that came about. However, he took ownership of the matter and I’m happy with results of the cleaning. I will definitely use Luis again in the future and keep him in mind for referrals.

I bought this home two years ago. There were serious pet stains from previous owners, as well as regular carpets needing cleaning. Chris was meticulous. He went way and above what I expected--and the carpets turned out looking fabulous. He is personable, knowledgeable, and one who pays serious attention to detail. Saving his name for future services on this home!

In all of my experience with carpet cleaning services, I've never met an owner like Todd. He was persistent, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond my expectations in cleaning and removing pet stains from a white area rug. And his pricing was more than fair. You don't find people in this business like Todd everyday.....he will be the one I call for future carpet cleaning and tile needs. 100% recommend.

I recently noticed a mildew like odor in my Hollywood, Florida home. I wasn't sure where it was coming from and didn't know what to do. A friend recommended Flash Restoration. I called and it turned out it was coming from my A/C ducts. Flash Restoration was able to diagnose the problem, clean out the ducts and the oder was gone. They were professional, curteous, clean and most of all left me with peace of mind the problem was taken care of. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

When my area rugs were dirty and had acted as a “potty pad” a few too many times, I knew exactly who to call, Best Look Inc. I called at 1pm and they were there same day, 4 hours later. They were extremely responsive, professional and did a thorough job. They went above and beyond with their customer service and workmanship. I have already scheduled them for the rest of the flooring in my house! A+++

Pet Odors and Tobacco smoke! We thought we were never going to find a company that could help us! After checking out their website, and their reviews on Thumbtack, I called to schedule an appointment for a tech to check out the odor problems in our rental home. The representative was cordial as he took my information. He also told me that the tech would be by between 5:30pm - 6:30pm. I received the courtesy call a few minutes after informing me that the tech would arrive within the half hour. The tech came in a timely fashion. He was nice and professional. After examining the problem, He gave me an estimate of how much it was going to cost me, and feeling the price was fair, agreed to have the work done right away. As soon as I signed the paperwork, the tech went to get their hypo-allergenic chemicals and fogging equipment and started when we went out for dinner. WHAT AN AMAZING DIFFERENCE! No cat odor or tobacco when we came home, and zero mess left for us. I am totally grateful and satisfied with Master Odor Removal's service.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

    What is upholstery cleaning?

From your carpets to your drapes to your furniture, all fabrics need to be cleaned. Cleaning upholstery, or the fabric on your furniture, removes the dirt and oils that are transferred to couches and chairs through regular use. Because furniture upholstery can be delicate and colors can fade easily, it’s often a good idea to let professional sofa cleaners handle the job. They’ll determine the type of fabric — usually cotton, linen, wool, suede or microfiber — and the appropriate method for cleaning it, either steam-cleaning or applying a dry-cleaning solvent. In general, cleaning an entire piece of furniture includes a pretreatment, cleaning, and neutralizing rinse to the body, plus removing and cleaning all cushions and cleaning all crevices.

An upholstery cleaner may clean the entire piece of furniture, on a regular schedule or by request, or do spot treatments to remove pet, food, drink, or oil and grease stains. Furniture can also be deodorized to remove the smell of pets or tobacco smoke. Furniture that’s used often, like that in your family room, should be cleaned once a year to keep it fresh and extend its life. Sofa cleaners often also offer repair services to mend tears in fabric or patch holes in leather.

How often should carpets be steam cleaned?

Dirty carpets can be unhealthy for the people living in the home, particularly those who have allergies, so it’s important to have them cleaned regularly; simply vacuuming once or twice a week isn’t enough. Carpet cleaning should be done by a professional carpet cleaning service at least once a year to remove grime and help extend the life of your carpet. Most carpet manufacturers recommend professional steam cleaning, which penetrates deep into the carpet fibers and lifts out both dirt and the pollutants that get tracked inside. Steam cleaning also removes most of the moisture, so carpets dry quickly enough for homeowners to resume using them the same day. Between professional carpet cleanings, your carpet may need an emergency spot cleaning. Pet accidents, food or drink spills, and more can often be effectively cleaned with some water and a drop of white vinegar, although many cleaners will also make house calls for smaller spills and hard-to-clean spots like wine or grease stains.

    Who cleans area rugs?

Like your carpets, area rugs should ideally be cleaned at least once a year to remove dust and dirt and help them last longer. In general, carpet cleaning professionals also clean area rugs. Some rug cleaners bring their cleaning equipment to your home, while others remove your area rugs and clean them at their facilities. Either way, the rug should be cleaned with the solution most appropriate to its specific fabric and construction. It should also be completely dry before you return it to the floor.

How much does it cost to clean a rug?

Area rugs are typically found in high-traffic areas of the home, like hallways and entryways, so they collect more dirt and stains than simple vacuuming can handle. Similar to carpet cleaning, professionals can come to your home to deep-clean your area rugs. The national average cost for rug cleaning ranges from $80 to $120, but may be higher or lower depending on the rug’s size and fiber type. Rug cleaners generally charge by the square foot; for example, a standard 8-foot by 10-foot rug costs an average of $100 to clean. Natural fiber rugs, such as wool or silk, are usually more expensive to have cleaned than synthetic rugs. A carpeting cleaning company may charge on average $1.50 per square foot to clean a synthetic rug, $2 per square foot for a wool rug, and $3 per square foot for a silk rug. Some delicate rugs need to be washed by hand, which increases the price. Carpet cleaning companies often offer additional services, such as removing odors or applying moth deterrent, which can add 20 cents to 25 cents per square foot.

    Who cleans couches?

Even if your furniture doesn’t appear dirty or stained, your couches are collecting just as much dust, pollen, germs, pet hair and dander, and even food crumbs as your carpets. In general, the same professionals who clean your carpets and drapes can also clean your couches. Carpet cleaners usually offer upholstery cleaning services as well, and may offer a discount if you have your carpets cleaned at the same time. Alternatively, you can choose from a range of professional upholstery cleaners in your area who specialize in cleaning different types of upholstery fabrics, including delicate antique fabrics and other hard-to-clean materials such as suede. In addition to deep-cleaning the entire piece of furniture, sofa cleaners can spot-treat food, pet, and oil and grease stains. Most professionals also offer services to sanitize and deodorize your furniture and apply protectants to prevent future stains. As with carpets, experts recommend that you have your upholstered furniture cleaned once every year or two, depending on how much use it gets and whether you have children and pets.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
