Better Call Troy...This guy is knowledgeable and will take time with you. And his pricing is reasonable. Ask him anything, and he'll answer thoroughly without missing a beat during service. Had him service a Samsung refrig. He is careful w/ your stuff, so no worries. Although his main focus is large appliances, he also installs fans, cleans the dryer vent, etc. I have to hand it to him--he's a great handyman!

I Iive in Canada and I own a vacation rental property in Naples that I rent for the winter season . my tenants advised me on the weekend that the dryer stoped working . I found Troy on Thumbtack and I was impressed by all his positive reviews. I contacted him on Sunday evening and he responded very quickly , I spoke with him on Monday morning and I felt very comfortable to hire him. He gave me a very reasonable quote and said that he could do the repairs on Tuesday morning. even though he spent almost 3hours doing the repairs he did not charge me extra. He also repaired an issue with my washing machine at no charge.
I will not hesitate to hire him again.

"I was with him the whole time he was here. I did check to make sure he did not mind an observer, and he assured me that it was fine with him. He is very peasant and personable. He was also businesslike and seemed knowledgable. He answered my questions, and explained what he was doing. He had with him the dryer part that he needed, all the tools and vacuuming equipment he needed, a laptop, and his own ladder.
He lives about 50 miles away in Cape Coral, and with traffic, it took him longer to get here than he had expected, but he texted us to say he would be late.
Troy thoroughly cleaned the dryer vent from both the inside and the outside. He used some kind of loud machine. He showed me two things that had collected in the vent:
- toothpicks that must have been in someone’s pocket and
- a sand-like material that he said was disintegrated scent-crystals like Unstoppables that had not dissolved in the washing and had made their way into the dryer. He said never to use scent pellets.
He showed me in the washing machine how the drum was leaning forward and that this was the reason water was bouncing out. He spent a lot of time cleaning parts and fixing springs to try to rectify the problem, and also used a level to reset the washing machine legs. He was not sure that any of this would fix the problem. He speculated that the cycles of the motor MIGHT not be working properly, but was not positive. He said that if this were the problem, it would not be worth fixing.
Troy said that he does everything having to do with appliances, including installation, and also light plumbing."

Troy was able to fix the very poor installation from another handy man. He did a fantastic job for a great fee. Very professional. I would highly recommend him and plan to hire him in the near future to help with other jobs.
