Thomas is an amazing musician. I have not taken lessons from him but I can speak about his talent and love for music. He started taking piano lessons at the age of six and started guitar lessons soon after. He grew up in a family where music lessons were an expectation and for Thomas it was a joy. He continued to study music throughout his years in school. He is the finest musician that I know. His enthusiasm for playing guitar and piano is contagious. He makes people want to learn. Thomas is very patient and will work with his students at their pace. His students can expect a professional and fun experience. As his students progress and want to upgrade their instruments, he can advise them as to what brands they should purchase. I can honestly say that Thomas will assure that every student will meet and exceed their goals.
I started taking guitar lessons with Peter about four years ago when I was a complete novice. I feel my skills in and love for guitar playing and music have advanced well beyond my initial expectations. Although my interest is focused on rock and roll lead guitar, Peter's comprehensive skills and knowledge in a wide range of styles (from classical and jazz to disco and heavy metal, and everything in between) helps him deliver additional value in every lesson. His formal education in music and music theory, real life stage and studio experience, and in depth knowledge of audio mixing, recording and synthesizing allows him to provide a comprehensive learning experience. From a personal standpoint, Peter is patient, reliable, intelligent, interesting and engaging. Every lesson is fun and I always look forward to the next one.
I truly enjoyed my experience working with Johnny. He has a fantastic music studio in his home, which is wonderful to learn in. Johnny is extremely talented on the guitar, and he shows a passion for helping others reach that level as well. The overall experience was outstanding. I would strongly recommend anyone looking for guitar lessons to give Johnny a try.
Very knowledgeable instructor, explains and demonstrates so a beginner as myself is not overwhelmed.
My wife was looking for guitar lessons for our son. After talking to numerous people and lessons never materializing, she almost gave up until one day she saw Rich Engle's ad. She called set up a lesson. Wow my son had a lesson a few days after calling Rich. The reports about the lessons from both were great. Over time my son's lesson was changed to Saturday so I got a chance to observe. After the lessons Rich and I would talk music. Well it was not long before I was taking lessons. I'm having a blast learning the guitar! As advertised he will teach You what You want to learn, even help find the right guitar for you. If you ever wanted to learn to play the guitar or want your son or daughter to learn, I would recommend Rich... he knows his stuff!
Troll Music is such a cool place! I bring my daughter for piano lessons and my son for guitar lessons. The instructors are excellent and they are very effective in teaching my kids in a way that they learn. I would recommend them to anyone looking for music lessons.
Definitely what I'm looking for as a developing folk musician.
I know what it's like to come from nothing and to make something of myself. If you do not like how the lessons are going..it's on me :)
I have been playing guitar for over 10 years. It is my passion, and my desire is to help others learn and understand how to play and to build a passion for it as well. If you are a beginner, I'd love to help you along the way of becoming the guitarist that you want to be! I teach both acoustic and electric styles from rock to blues or anything you would like to learn! I know the essentials of theory, things you should know to get started and things that are useful for everyday guitar playing. I would like any students of mine to know that, while lessons are great to help you along and keep you going, the main trick to guitar playing is practice. Make sure you make time during the day to practice what you learn at the lessons, so you don't waste your time and money. Thirty minute to hour lessons are provided in a low-key, comfortable atmosphere. Feel free to contact with any questions and for pricing details!
