Very displeased with the level of cleaning provided by Gloria. Her quick response time, reviews and business flyer that details her deep cleaning service were reasons I hired her to clean. I told Gloria what I wanted and informed her that I would not be home upon her arrival, but a relative will be present to let her in. Things immediately went south on the day she arrived. I received a phone call from my relative regarding several questions Gloria had, including where to start cleaning. I ensured the house was empty for a reason, so start wherever you want. She also had questions about what to clean and what type of cleaning I wanted done. Huh? Did I not hire you to deep clean the house? My relative also noted how ill prepared she appeared to be for someone who was supposedly cleaning a house. If I noted every single thing, this will be a dissertation. Anywho, fast forward. I came home to pick up a couple of things and was preparing to leave again. I noticed there was still dirt in the hallway, but figured that she would be sweeping and mopping last. I should have asked, but she is the cleaner, right? I grabbed what I needed so as not to be in her way and was preparing to leave the house again. She asked me if I had a vacuum cleaner. I told her I only have a small cheap one since only one room has carpet now and proceeded to show it to her. She laughed and said she would get hers out the car. Smh! Shouldn't you have done that from the start? She also mentioned how relatively clean my house was compared to other houses she cleans. Yes, my house is usually clean (no pets or minor children) and tidy. I typically pay someone to deep clean (dust, wipe baseboards, mop, etc.) when the seasons change. She also mentioned that she was almost done and only had to clean the kitchen and Florida room and then mop and vacuum. Okay, cool. Long story short, she texted me when she was done and I sent payment electronically. Big mistake! When I came home, the house did NOT smell clean nor did it look clean. Upon closer inspection, I was right...the house was not thoroughly clean. I don't know what she considers "deep cleaning," but she didn't even provide a BASIC cleaning. Remember that dirt in the hallway? It was still there. In fact, she had used my Swiffer mop and mopped over that dirt. (Yes, I had to provide her with a Swiffer mop and laminate cleaner to clean my laminate floors because she didn't have anything to clean laminate flooring.) So, we don't sweep before mopping? Dust was still on the ceiling fan, shelves were half dusted and the headboard in my son's room was partially dusted. My bedroom did not look like it was thoroughly vacuumed. I vacuum better with my cheap Dirt Devil. Smh! The bathroom smelled awful. It smelled like she cleaned the bathroom with a smelly dirty rag. (FYI: I cleaned by bathroom a few days later and noticed what looked like dog hairs on my wall and floor located behind the toilet. I don't have a dog so I seriously believed she used a dirty rag or maybe a dirty mop to get behind the toilet. Disgusting.) The kitchen wasn't cleaned. Cabinets didn't look like they were wiped down at all. I was able to sweep a pile of dirt in the kitchen after she supposedly cleaned it. I did contact Gloria and detailed all the issues with her "cleaning services." I was not pleased with her initial response. (View attached photos for a portion of our text message exchange, along with evidence of her "cleaning.") After going back and forth, she finally took some accountability. I was very upset that I had to clean up my house after PAYING Gloria to clean my house. I was initially going to let her "fix" what she failed to clean, but after thinking about it, I decided it wouldn't be worth the aggravation. I shouldn't have to micromanage or direct a person on how to do their job properly.
After my experience, I'm not convinced that the reviews left are from real customers.
