Introduction: My work stands apart from many of the others in my field because of my love of lighting. Mixing ambient (natural) light with flash photography gives me goose bumps! It is this combination that gives many of my photographs a surreal feeling.

Kirk is much more than a photographer. He is a storyteller, an illustrator, a painter. His work is a throwback in many ways to a different time. It artfully captures a moment and then gives it depth and timelessness. His portraits have the feel of oil paintings in their richness and intensity.
I love his creativity. His willingness to take chances. He looks beyond the subject of the portrait but also the surroundings and melds them into the work.
He listened to my needs and incorporated my ideas and personality into the session. Even for something as mundane as a performers headshot, he was able to bring something special to it.
A few months back, I had snapped a picture of myself on my phone and sent it to Kirk just to see what he " could do with it." What came back was amazing a was the response to it. So I leave you with my favorite unsolicited quote which describes Kirk's work to a T.

I've had a lot of headshots done over the last 20 years and Kirk was by far the best and most accommodating photographer I've ever worked with. He took his time to get just the right shot. The end result was beautiful!

Kirk is great! He's not just a photographer, he's a visual artist. He had TONS of great ideas and suggestions for better shots that, in the end, looked jaw dropping. He made us feel so comfortable on the shoot and made us look amazing!
