This would be my second review. DO NOT TRUST this company. esp, the General Manager, Adam, the sales representative Cody. the quality manager! This company is a SCAM. All their reviews were written by their employees!!! They are not even legit. They do not care about customers. They didn't even let me know about the status of my items! They infact tried to tell me to call the movers. The movers left with my stuff, unloaded my furniture at their hub in Chicago. They didn't even give me an updated list of inventory that they've loaded. They were suppose to deduct a lot of amount for unused packing. Now, I received a call from the movers stating that I missed the delivery date as i didn't make a payment. The representative was extremely rude! This company will surely hear from my lawyer!!

My experience with this company has been less than desirable to say the least. This will be my 3rd time moving across the country and Ive never experienced this. My estimate ended up rising almost $1,000 by the time they came to pick up my stuff. When the guys arrived to load the truck it took almost 2 hours just for them to get the paper work ready. My belongings were picked up Aug 28th. Today is September 8th and my stuff is STILL loaded in the warehouse and hasnt even left the state yet. Extremely disappointed! Paying rent and utilities somewhere is pointless when I have to get a hotel room for weeks! Like I said... extremely disappointed. Ill update my post when they arrive, hopefully damage free.

These people promised next day delivery. I didn't expect but the movers said "your close, we'll b there tomorrow im sure." Well its day 10 and I'm still waiting. I call topcountrymovers.com and its always the same " I (Rachael) will get back w you" and she never calls back. And now I had to use a friend's phone because they wont even answer. I'm so worried I either won't get my stuff or it will b so damaged I'll have to buy new anyway. I'm buying things I already have. Just bought an air mattress tired of staying w my friends, they have a life too.Don't go low money when its your things because they're still telling me I owe $300-400 for extra space. I told them everything which ain't much so I know I'm right. Stay away from Topcountrymoving.com. They'll b under a new name and number soon i read Good luck w ur move.

I want to preface this review by saying that overall, we had a pretty good moving experience. That being said, there was something of a lack of transparency between the brokerage and the consumer, especially in terms of cost. I was given an estimate from the brokerage that ended up being about $1000 less than the true final cost of our move, and I was unaware of many of the potential additional costs until the day our stuff was picked up on the west coast for our cross-country move. We actually ended up taking less stuff with us than was on the original estimate and still ended up paying about 30% more. During my initial call with Top Country, I also felt like I was being forced to choose this company for our move and was threatened with the loss of "discounts," etc, if I were to look elsewhere before making a final decision. They also failed to mention that the company actually carrying out the move would have a delivery window of several weeks and that our stuff could possibly be delivered over a month after our official move-in date. It ended up being delivered about two weeks after we moved in, so we were living in our apartment with the bare minimum for two weeks with no idea of when our stuff would be delivered. I don't blame the movers for this, as it is information that was hidden from me by the brokers. That being said, the actual moving company that was used for the move itself, NW Relocation, was very professional, and all of the guys wore masks and were friendly. Pretty much all of our stuff was in perfect condition on arrival, even if it did come much later than expected. My recommendation for working with this company is to make sure you plan to pay significantly more than the initial estimate, and try to get them to outline those hidden costs for you before making your final decision. Also, expect a large delivery window even if they assure you that your stuff will be delivered exactly when you want it to be.

I HIRED TC TO MOVE ME FROM OHIO TO ARKANSAS. AT THE BEGINNING OF THE MOVE THEY TOLD ME EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO HEAR.ONCE THE DOWN PAYMENT WAS MADE AND THE CONTRACT WAS SIGNED THE NIGHTMARE BEGAN. THEY WAITED UNTIL 2 DAYS BEFORE THE MOVE TO INFORM ME THAT IT WOULD BE $500.OO MORE DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY DIDN'T INCLUDE EVERYTHING ON THE INVENTORY LIST. WHEN THE MOVERS ARRIVED I WAS TOLD THAT I WAS OVER MY CUBIC FT. AND IT WOULD BE ANOTHER $200. THE MOVERS ARRIVED A DAY AND A HALF LATE WHICH THREW MY ENTIRE SCHEDULE OFF. BUT DID THEY CARE. NO. TC SUPERVISOR TOLD ME THAT I HAD MY DATES WRONG. MOVERS TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD JUST GOTTEN THE CALL THAT MORNING, EVEN THOUGH I SCHEDULED THE MOVE A MONTH IN ADVANCE. WHAT THEY DO IS PASS AUR BELONGINGS OFF TO 2ND AND 3RD PARTY CONTRACTORS. YOUNG GUYS WHO ARE GIVEN A TRUCK AND MINIMUM WAGE TO MOVE AND DELIVER OUR MOST PRIZED POSSESIONS.I APPRECIATE THE YOUNG MEN WHO LOADED AND UNLOADED MY BELONGINGS , BUT I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR TOP COUNTRY FOR TAKING MY MONEY ($3500) AND NOT EVEN CARING THAT FIFTY PERCENT OF MY BELONGINGS WERE DAMAGED.ONCE THEY GET YOUR MONEY THEY ARE DONE WITH YOU. ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS ABOUT THIS COMPANY ARE COMING FROM FAMILY MEMBERS AND EMPLOYEES. DON'T TRUST ANYTHING THAT THEY SAY. HIRE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK. YOU WILL BE BETTER OFF HIRING ONE OF THE MORE REPUTABLE COMPANIES (MAYFLOWER, ALLIED, WESTERN, ETC. IT MAY COST A LITTLE MORE BUT YOU WILL AVOID THE WORST NIGHTMARE OF A MOVE THAT YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE. CUSTOMER BEWARE!
