Julie helped us finalize paint and tile colors for our living area. She also will be helping us with other design projects in our home. I am beyond grateful that I found Julie. She is extremely reliable and knowledgeable when it comes to her work. When had a few bad experiences with other designers which was due to the size of our job. Julie never once made me feel like our job was too small for her. She always went above and beyond for us.

We can't say enough good things about P&C Plus Solutions. They have built the website for our ecommerce site from the ground up and the process has been seamless. They communicate with us constantly and respond quickly to our inquiries. They were extremely patient in dealing with our "novice" questions and helped us to learn a tremendous amount during the process. The Project Manager stays on top of everything and they truly have a staff of creative geniuses. All of this is helped by the fact that they all have a great sense of humor so you will definitely laugh your way through the process and end up with "Something Beautiful".

    About

We offer packages starting as low as $99. All packages over $499 include free hosting and domain name registration. Seminole Web Design was conceived by certified web engineers, all of whom own several subcontracting web design companies that are currently located throughout the world. We are by no means the biggest, but because of our networking capacity combined with superb organization as a consultant-owned computer and internet solution-based company, we able to serve our clients well. It's true that anyone can build a website, especially with the plethora of "do it yourself" offerings out there today. However, building a site and making a site work for you are two different things. With our pooled resources, we offer over 200 years of combined experience to get your site to look good, and work for you. Our prices are very competitive, and our service is second to none. We hope you will give us a try. Seminole Web Design was purchased in 2009 by Earthwide Webs, and was accompanied by the melding together of three other small companies. This allowed for multiple pools of talent to work for one goal, "customer satisfaction". Since then, we've also instituted a plan that recruits talented college students majoring in design to join us as interns, and thus learn the business model while actually perfecting their art under the tutelage of master engineers. It's a win-win situation. We offer complete web design from the ground up. We have hundreds of templates to choose from. We also build sites from scratch, so if you can't find a template you like, let us build it with your specifications to suit your needs. We can use an array of programming languages from simple HTML to Flash. Our preferred language is PHP which allows the greatest flexibility and growth, but we are not partial to PHP. We are also able to incorporate Java Script, CSS, ASP, .NET, XHTML, DHTML and other less-known technology, if there is a need. Most people new to the web don't understand these basic fundamentals. In order to get your website on the internet, you must have a registered domain name and a home or host for that domain name. With that domain name comes numerous options depending on the host. Some hosts only offer a home and for your domain name and nothing else, while others offer a wide range of things such as unlimited downloads and bandwidth, free templates, etc. If you host with us, we offer the best solutions at the most reasonable price. We offer our customers three options: * They can find their own host (not recommended). * They can allow us to host it (recommended). * They can use a host we recommend, if they don't want us to host it (never happens this way though). We offer several types of marketing options. We specialize in social media marketing in several price ranges, from simple setup of social site accounts to complete setup and maintenance. Depending on your type of busines and the needs of your company, we can determine which package would work best for you. If you need a more complicated website that incorporates saving, sharing, and responding with data, then a Content Management System (CMS) may be what you need. These may cost more, but they also do more and look just as good as a regular website. Some of the systems we program in are e107, Mambo, Joomla, Word Press, and Xoops. As previously mentioned, it is crucial that you get the right domain name for your purpose. What your domain name is, can also have a bearing on getting higher rankings in the search engines. While we have a million royalty free graphic libraries, often their is a need to create new graphics for the customer. We are well equipped to do this. Whether you need a business logo, or a customized seal, we are up to the task. We even offer an animated Gif option. To date, we have created over a thousand logos. We do search engine optimization, W3C compatibility, and so much more.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

Why should you hire a web designer?

Your website is often the first thing your customers see when they’re searching for a business or service on the web. As the face of your organization, your website needs to be attractive and functional, offering the latest features that users now expect. To plan and design a site that both reflects your company’s mission and values and appeals to customers takes a professional web designer. While free online services can help people set up websites, web designers can provide a unique solution made specifically to meet customers’ personal or business needs.

Most web designers offer a wide variety of services to make your website aesthetically pleasing and easy to use. Modern web design must be mobile-friendly and scalable, capable of expanding to include a blog, social media sites, and even video streaming; web designers are experts at integrating various web technologies. They can build the site, add functionality, test it, launch it on a live server, and track and maintain its performance.

In addition to web design and graphic design, some web design providers also offer development and security services, including search engine optimization (SEO), social media marketing and management, logo design, site maintenance, domain registration and hosting, protection against malware, and digital marketing and content services.

    What do interior designers do?

Interior designers do much more than pick complementary paint colors and choose matching furniture — although those tasks are important parts of the job. Unlike decorators, interior designers usually have an associate of science degree or certificate of achievement in interior design from an accredited program. They’re trained in drafting, lighting and computer aided design (CAD), and are experts in room-specific design and residential space planning. Interior designers use these skills to plan and design safe, highly functional and beautiful interior spaces, from kitchens and bathrooms to family rooms and bedrooms. They determine space requirements, work within building codes and inspection regulations, and meet accessibility standards. An interior designer’s day-to-day job includes creative and technical tasks, both of which often require great communication skills:

    • Creating model rooms and visuals using design software.
    • Researching different textiles, materials, finishes, lighting and furniture.
    • Hiring suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
    • Estimating costs and making bids on potential jobs.

How much do web designers charge?

The average cost for hiring a web designer varies greatly depending on the scope of the work, which may range from building a site from scratch to rebranding an existing one, as well as the amount of content and graphics the designer will create. In general, the more complex the project, the more time the design agency will have to spend. Because web designers often work on an hourly basis, the longer the project, the higher the costs; you can count on the web designer spending at minimum 10 hours to create a very basic website with just a handful of pages with few elements. Prices also depend on the designer’s skill set, the process, and the company’s rates. In general, the national average cost for a basic website package starts at $500, but a customized website can cost as much as $2,000 or more. Here are typical average hourly rates, broken out by the complexity of the work:

    • Basic layout and user interface: $15-$40 per hour
    • Content management system design: $20-$50 per hour
    • Custom website design with custom code: $45-$75 per hour

What should you look for in a website designer?

A professional web designer creates the look and feel of your website, collaborating with you to choose colors, creating logos and other branding materials, establishing page layouts, and creating sample pages. An important part of web design is making sure the site is functional, meets your goals, and is easy for users to navigate. When you’re looking to hire a web designer, start by reviewing the person’s portfolio. Look for samples of work that match what you envision for your website, including experience building the types of pages or features you want. Make sure the web designer is familiar with your industry and understands both industry trends and web design trends — an old-fashioned or out-of-touch site will turn customers away rather than intrigue them.

Because web designers tend to work as freelancers on a project basis, they must be excellent communicators, willing to manage their own work, and available on your schedule. Some critical skills, such as working collaboratively and responding enthusiastically to feedback, aren’t core to good web design, but make working with a web designer much easier. Finally, look for a web designer who has cross-functional knowledge, such as understanding marketing and conversion rate optimization in addition to web design.

How do you find a good interior designer?

For many homeowners, the difference between a good interior designer and a bad one is simply a matter of taste — but all good designers have similar skill sets. Interior designers usually have a degree or certificate in interior design, with training in design principles and lighting, drafting, and computer aided design (CAD) software. Good interior designers have strong color balancing skills and understand how different colors influence spatial perception and moods. They know the building and electrical codes in the areas where they practice, and they make sure that any contractors they hire also work to those codes. They are knowledgeable about different upholstery fabrics and draperies, stay ahead of residential design trends, and maintain their own individual creativity. Also, good interior designers have excellent space designing skills, so they can arrange a space efficiently and with ideal traffic flow. Ultimately, hiring a good interior designer means pinpointing one whose signature style is complementary to your personal style — so checking out many designers’ portfolios is a must — and whose communication methods match yours.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
