Introduction

I’ve always wanted to be a caretaker for animals. My dog Cora is a great representation of my skill set. She is well rounded because I take her to many different places like dog parks, the beach, restaurants, etc. She’s very intelligent and obedient so I stimulate her by teaching her tricks. So far she knows 15. I put my heart into everything I do so I’ve researched how to care for dogs. The way I treat Cora is how I treat all animals: with lots of love, attention, and consistency. I love animals more than I love humans. I have a degree in marine biology and I’ve volunteered at countless shelters and aquariums. Animals are my passion.

I brought my 6 month old puppy to Kadijah because I saw how obedient her dog was. In a week my little man learned sit and stay! I was very thankful for her because I don’t have time to train my baby since I’m always working. I will definitely use her again when I get my next dog.

It was absolutely wonderful working with Kadijah and she was perfect for our dog Connie. Connie is a very anxious dog and is scared of people. She hasn’t met Kadijah before. Kadijah made sure that she checked in on Connie on time, followed all the instructions that we had left for her and was also extremely patient with Connie throughout.

I always like to do a meet-n-greet with the owner and pet.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
First and foremost, I have a dog and a cat so my biggest education has been personal experience. I take pride in raising my pets and it definitely shows. Secondly, I’ve volunteered at the Austin Humane Society, BARC Animal Shelter, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Marine Science Institute, and the San Francisco Bay Aquarium. Thirdly, I have a bachelors degree in marine biology.
