Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Our standard tours differ from those of other tour ccompanies in four ways. First, they offer more variety of "soft" adventure. Our travelers have a choice of at least 3 or 4 different types of low intensity adventure, each carefully tailored for active, healthy persons over 40. Moreover, travelers may instead opt for a cultural or wildlife viewing excursion if they prefer. Sample adventures include hiking, bicycling, whitewater rafting, kayaking, horseback riding, swimming with dolphins, hot air ballooning, elephant and camel trekking, zipline canopy excursions, glacier trekking, game drives, canoeing and dune surfing. Second, NEI's cultural experiences are richer and involve much more than simply visiting must-see sights. Our travelers might enjoy, for example, a private tango lesson, cooking workshop, an Andean music seminar, Tai Chi or yoga lesson, an Aboriginal dot painting workshop, a Rapa Nui dance or stone carving lesson, an art or literary tour, tea ceremony or a meeting with a Dongba Shaman priest or Andean mystical healer. In many countries, we even offer optional Volunteer Service Projects that will make your adventure even more rewarding! Third, NEI tours are highly educational, offering 2 optional lectures for most destinations. We offer these lecture options even for independent travelers, not only for group travelers. Fourth, NEI tours are highly flexible. Our travelers can depart on virtually any date they choose (within season) and we will guarantee the departure with a minimum of two travelers - i.e. no cancellation risk from our end. We are also happy to customize the itinerary to meet our traveler's preferences, emphasizing wildlife viewing, culture, soft adventure or a mix of these activities. I love the creative aspects of formulating educational and exciting itineraries that meet parameters set by our clients. I also love developing new tours that we think will appeal to our clients.

What a great way to see the beautiful countryside of the Alsace-Lorraine area of France! A 10 passenger barge with a fabulous, attentive crew who did everything from making the beds to taking us on excursions to castles and the fabulous glass of Lalique. And the wine, cheese, and bicycles everyday added to the fun! From our arrival in Paris, the train ride to Strasbourg, to traveling through the canal locks and watching a swan peck at our window we enjoyed every moment beyond our expectations. Kudos to Heidi and Jonathan at Nature Expeditions International for their expert guidance and knowledge in making all of this come to together to make an unforgetable journey

I highly recommend using Nature Expeditions International for any trip to any continent. I have used them for two major trips. My first was to Australia, the second and most recent was to plan a visit to Kenya (for a safari) and to Rwanda (for the Gorillas). I have recommended them to friends, and they have in turn recommended them to their friends. All have been extremely satisfied so far. Full disclosure, they are a little more expensive, but that expense is well worth it. They use top notch people in each country that know their way around, making most efficient use of you time. Connections and transfers are seamless. Both times, Nature Expeditions work to tailor the trip to fit our needs and not a predetermined itinerary. The most recent trip to Africa exceeded our expectations. The highlight was the two days we spent gorilla trekking in Rwanda. The Sabayingo Lodge was worth the money for the two nights in Rwanda. Will I use them again, you bet!!!

Nature Expeditions recently organized an amazing tour to South Africa for my boyfriend and I. We had an incredible time visiting Cape Town, the Garden Route and Addo National Park. All I can say is; what an awesome experience, both in South Africa and in dealing with Nature Expeditions. There attention to detail was outstanding and everything ran like clockwork. It truly was an adventure of a lifetime and I have recommended them to everyone I know. We will definitely be booking our next adventure with them. Can't wait!!!

My husband and I prefer to plan all our trips by ourselves so it was a difficult decision to hand over the reins to NEI. However, it was the best decision we have made in a long time. Our customized trip to Southern India was glorious. Every aspect was planned with such care and thought that we felt pampered at every moment. But beyond that, it was Jonathan who made us feel comfortable from the first phone call until our return to the U.S. Thanks to his tireless work and to Michelle's, our trip was above and beyond our wildest expectations. We can't wait to plan another trip with NEI. Thank you for the memories.

We had an exceptional trip to Peru with NEI. Being globetrotters and discriminating, NEI had a tall order to make us happy. The 13 day adventure exceeded our expectations! Our custom itinerary made it one of our most memorable trips! Both Heidi and Jonathan were so professional and knowledgeable. All my questions, which were many, were usually answered the same day. Our next great adventure will definitely be planned by Nature Expeditions International! Thank you!

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have always loved geography, traveling and foreign cultures/languages, and decided to find a line of work that would allow me to make a living by traveling to remote regions and creating distinctive itineraries for adventurous people.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

We customize cultural, wildlife viewing and "soft" adventure itineraries for our clients. We send them detailed proposals and, when they sign up, we operate their tour.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure to only deal with companies that can provide references from previous travelers, have been in operation for at least 10 years and enjoy a high rating with the Better Business Bureau. Make sure that the professional has actually visited the destination they are selling.
