- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My journey into movement began with dance, a passion I cultivated for over 20 years. Growing up in NYC, I trained at numerous dance schools, attended a performing arts high school as a dance major, and earned both my Associate of Arts degree in Dance (2012) and my Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance in (2014). My extensive dance background includes training in various styles and techniques, with a focus on anatomy, choreography, and pedagogy— foundations that have profoundly shaped my approach to yoga. Dance taught me the importance of fluidity, precision, and creative expression—elements I now bring into my yoga practice. While I began my yoga practice in 2015 for its physical benefits, I continually returned to my mat in search of the clarity, release, and peace I felt during my first yoga class. Through yoga, I learned my love for the body, movement, and teaching transcended the craft of Dance, where I had dedicated 20+ years of my life. While both art forms revealed my creativity, and further developed my self-expression, yoga allowed me to find a new approach to movement focused on continuous care and self growth. It became my mission to share my new found journey of progress over perfection with others through yoga, health, and fitness. Since earning my initial certification, I have taught over 1,000 yoga classes, guiding countless students through a transformative practice. Alongside teaching, I spent five years (2019–2024) in Studio Leadership at CorePower Yoga across Atlanta, New York, and Miami, where I contributed to studio management, recruitment, and facilitating yoga teacher training programs. Now, as an independent yoga instructor, I teach at various gyms and studios throughout Fort Lauderdale while also offering private sessions and group events.
