FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First of all, I acknowledge their courage and drive to improve their life. Then I work with them where they are. If there’s an anxiety attack, or difficulty, let’s get you functional. Building resources is an important part of navigating a way out of the desert—of despair—or addiction—or whatever. If you’re fighting, let’s figure out how to stop. Then let’s go over your history, and understand the patterns and behaviors that aren’t working and address them.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I started my internship in my counseling career working with intimate partner violence. I worked with both victims and perpetrators. I also work extensively with Addiction, both process and substance. That then led me to take extensive training in treating trauma. As most addiction is the body’s attempt to normalize a disregulated nervous system. Because of my medical background, I am uniquely qualified to address both body, mind, and Spirit to help you find your way through the maze to freedom.
