FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a flat fee based on travel distance from my residence (Ft Pierce or Wallingford) to officiate all weddings and vow renewals, or commitment ceremonies. Fees start at $150 for up to 5 miles of travel distance from my home. ** I offer a discount for fellow veterans and those still serving. Please be sure to let me know when you contact me** I don't charge extra for large venues or adding special ceremonies like Blending of the Sand; I do request that your ceremony starts within 15 minutes of the scheduled time out of courtesy to your guests and me.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have a questionnaire that I forward to ensure the ceremony is tailored to each couples expectations. I am totally open to creating the wording to how ever you want, this is YOUR DAY. Once I create the wording, I share it in advance and encourage you to review and make any edits that you like. I don't require a pre-meeting, as I recognize that everyone is busy. However, I am more than willing to chat/text and meet if desired. Day of: I arrive 15 minutes in advance of the scheduled time to review the set-up; perform the ceremony and after the exchange of "I Do's", I complete the license for the court clerk.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have both an undergrad and graduate degree and have taught as an adjunct at the college level for more than 10 years. I am very comfortable with speaking in front of and to people. I am a Florida Notary if you prefer a secular ceremony. I am also ordained to officiate weddings through the Ministry of the Universal Life Church, nondenominational. I am not a Pastor, but I am active in my local church and I am definitely judgment-free.
