- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge 10% of gross rent collected for property management, which is the industry standard price. For leasing I only charge the owner 50% of the 1st months rent as that is the minimum necessary to attract tenants from outside agents. This allows the property to be shown and rented in a much faster rate cutting down on vacancies which is the most costly part of our industry.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently enrolled in the CPM candidate program offered by the Institute of Real Estate Management. The program is fairly intense and will require multiple years before I am qualified to receive their certification.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I saw a need through the acquisitions of my own rental properties and the consolidation of home ownership this country has experiences over the last five or six years. It was evident to me the need for property management to maximize client's return on their investment.
