Jpena did an Ok work replacing my decorative shutters with new ones. They also removed an old direct tv dish from the stucco and patched the old holes. However, they did not do a good job fixing the broken hurricane anchors in the stucco which is the main reason they got hired for. Unfortunately, they did not do right by me and decided to take shortcuts while doing the work. Instead of patching the holes, let dry, then re drill and fasten new anchors using proper tools, they instead decided to put the anchors inside the old holes and patched around them. As a result, the anchors are not properly sitting inside and in not way could handle the weight of the hurricane shutters.

We contacted Jpena Repair & Maintenance and agreed a very competitive price to stucco our new pool retaining wall.
Juan showed up on time the very next day and carried out the stucco work flawlessly. Furthermore he was exceedingly professional in appearance and manner and left the work area clean and tidy. We would definitely use Jpena Repair & Maintenance again and would highly recommend him to anyone!

Juan responded quickly as did another contractor on this site that I had contacted. His estimate was much more desirable though, so I hired him and he started to work immediately. Needed repairs done before I could put my house on the market to sell.
He's a hard worker, and professional. He explained he has much more than 1 year experience but not in the U.S. This was evident by watching his skills. Initially, I had only wanted the stucco work done but then discovered he does drywall & other handyman work too.
Of the work he did, the stucco was the best followed by drywall, and the trim work I'd rate last. Between his limited English and my limited Spanish, we did ok communicating but I believe the end result would have been better if we didn't have the language challenge. Overall, this was a good value and experience for the jobs I needed done.
