- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates vary depending on the following client/pet needs. The number and type of pet(s), how many visits/day, length of stay, mileage and repeat clients. Overnight stay rates are subject to most of the same variables previously stated above. Rates are negotiable in a few situations.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Overnight pet/house sitting. Visits to the client's home between 1-3 X per day, feeding, watering, walking and a lot of attention.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Check with past clients, make sure background checks are done and spotless. Meet your potential sitter with the pets present in their territory and watch how quickly your pet "warms up" to the new person. Also, observe how she or he handles the not so warm greeting they may encounter. His/hers handling of that one initial situation will tell you all you need to know.
