From the 2-3 other plumbing companies I had contacted, they gave me a very reasonable offer and almost immediate availability. Kevin came out to do the job. He assessed the situation, saw the unit that needed replacing, drained all the water out into the street, went and got the new unit, disconnected and took out the old unit, and replaced it with the new one. He left no mess, took the old one, cleaned the whole area and left it better looking than it was before. I am very happy with the outcome."

I began noticing that my hot water was not working on Saturday. The HW heater is about 15 years old so I guess that is to be expected. By Sunday I finally had come to the realization that it was not magically going to fix. I guess that means I was at the acceptance phase. While being a bit apprehensive as to the process I was embarking on, i contacted about 10 plumbers hoping to get quotes. While expecting to be innundated with people looking for business, only one guy got back to me promptly. That was Al. I gave him a brief desciption of the busted water heater and ask that he replace that along wiht a garbage disposal I had been neglecting for a couple of years. I guess I am getting older but I was expecting to get a detailed quote that included service fees, disposal fees, shop fees, clean up fees, trip fees, and lunch for him and his wife. I guess you get the idea. It was a major pleasant suprise when he submitted only TWO numbers. One for the heater and one for garbage disposal. Now I respect a plumbers right to charge for whatever he needs to charge for, but I want/expect it to be imbedded in the one or two numbers I receive. The gotchas kill me. I called the next morning and agreed to go ahead with the quote which seemed reasonable. I had mentaly budgeted a bit more. He asked if I had a gas or electric heater and despite looking at it and having a 50/50 chance of getting it right, I screwed up and gave him the wrong information. This could have presented a hassle had Al purchased the wrong heater based on my reccomendation. Fortunately, he came out and checked it out BEFORE bringing out the wrong one. From there he: 1. Went to acqure the right heater and disposal 2. Called me shortly to let me know when he would return 3. Returned promptly 4. Fixed both the heater and disposal in a prompt manner. This occurred while be timely, courteous, professional, and thorough. And I am saving the best for last: The TWO numbers that i was charged were identical to the TWO numbers I was quoted less than 24 hours before. While not exactly an emergency, I am thankful that the number of cold showers that I had to take was ONE. If you have a plumbling problem, do yourself a favor and get in touch with Al. All the horror stories I had conjured up in my mind never came to fruition. Thanks again Al! Sincerely, David H.
