FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Other than the required 14 hours every two years to keep our licenses up-to-date, I attend as many trade shows as possible. There are a few locally and a few international shows. They are really interesting and show show off new tools and materials. Because we mainly do service plumbing, we look for ways to give our clients the best bang for their buck. We look for performance, quality, and longevity so after we install it in your home, it meets or exceeds your needs and it'll last a very long time.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My grandfather was a plumber. My father is a plumber. It was just a matter of time before I became one. I grew up wanting to be a police officer and even joined the local Police Explorer program. My father roped me in saying it was just going to be a "summer job". It turned out to be interesting and I was very good at it, so... here I am.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I can't say their is a most common type of job. My company is still quite new but when i worked for my father's company, we would do a bunch of toilet repairs. I can repair most toilets in about 90 seconds, minus set-up and clean up. That's a new flapper, handle, fill valve, and supply tube. When you do it a few times a day for 6 years, you tend to get pretty fast at it.
