FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No, it's very straight forward. Whether I'm teaching private lessons or groups, I always offer a significant discount for those folks who purchase four lessons at a time. The discount is more about record keeping that an incentive to attract business.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes I stay in tune to the latest trends through the PTR, the organization I'm certified through.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a serious baseball player until my last year of high school, at which time I attended an invitation only tryout with the Cincinnati Reds. I impressed on that day, but not nearly enough to get a big league contract, so I left baseball on the back burner. About that same time my Dad and I one day, were watching Jimmy Connors play Bjorn Borg on television. It was riveting and I was drawn to the way Connors played the game. A day later we bought racquets and started playing. We played at the club that Ron Jaworkski owned and three years later he hired me as a staff pro. By the time I got out of college I like teaching so much that I decided to teach tennis for a living.
