FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Always look for an artist that is not editing their photos with any filters! This is some thing that I see happening very often when people are hired from Instagram or anywhere else where they can upload photos with filters. When their clients have no imperfections at all that is a red flag meaning that you may be dealing with an artist who is altering their real talent level. Always look for raw and unedited photos. Always look for an artist that has been to accredited school and has their certification. Artists that are certified by a school have been taught proper steps for disinfecting and cleaning their kit and how to avoid cross contamination from one client to the other. Many people hire business owners who are great at marketing, and making themselves look good when they should be more focused on a real artist who carries talent through their blood, and cares for the sanitation and hold strong integrity in their work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to get to know my customers! Knowing their personality a little bit helps me determine the style that they’re going for. If possible I love to see what their style is on a daily basis and how much make up they are used to seeing them selves wear.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied production artistry in south Florida at Cosmix school for Makeup Artist III, where I learned all genres of make up and hair styling. I later took courses on hair for updos for weddings and different events and I’ve been working as a make up and hair artist since 2011.
