Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: first of all there is alot of factors involved in the field of audio engineering and once you get to a certain level its is all about style and how the engineer/producer hears things. personally put pride into every single mix i do and i want people to ask "where was that recorded/mixed?" . another factor that sets me apart is that now a days everyone that gets a mic and an interface think they are an engineer it seems. I have spent about 15 years learning this craft and its still an ongoing process there is always new things to learn. i have a collection of about 15 books i read all of them about once a year or so not to mention all the experimenting i do and i try to master my daw so i can quickly and efficiently get the job done.

Jason has been flexible and accommodating for our scheduling needs and also has a willingness to explore different techniques and styles in our (Dementia) ongoing recording project. The Atmosphere is relaxed and low stress which is kind of a big deal when it comes to recording.

Fire it Up 727 is the best value for studio time in the Tampa Bay and St Pete area. Jason (J-Sinner) is a phenomenal producer/engineer and makes it a easy process to record whether your a newbie or a seasoned professional, a solo artist or a entire band and takes the time to find out what you want to accomplish and gives you the tools and resources to do it. The equipment is the very best you can get access too for even triple the price and they are Willing to work around your schedule. I will be recording all of work there and haven't even thought about going anywhere else!! @iLLaBLove

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Vocal recording over premade instrumentals (beats) i would say is the most common. rapping and singing. hiphop/pop/club styles. mixing down the vocals with the music, e.g. via eq, compression , deessing, and any other special effects required. usually a light master done to keep it competitive to the volume of commercially released material. Lots of variables per session but this would be the most common situation getting one song finished and mixed / mastered within the 2 hr minimum time frame

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Do your homework the right studio can do alot for your music. You wouldnt go to record a hip hop album with a engineer that has been doing rock and metal all his life would you?

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I would that some things that matter are overlooked and people make a bigger deal out of things that have no significance. For instance the program you record on has absolutely nothing to do with quality it can be pro tools, cubase, nuendo, garageband, reel to reel lol.. You get the point. Its just a means to record and what really matters is that the engineer knows his program inside and out. Things that do matter would be the microphones, that has a big impact of the sound also the room you are recording in and if its treated or not.
