- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by the hour. I can give an estimate for some things, like assembly and installation of new items. But for repairs and diagnostics of used or custom items, I often can not be sure because I won't know the extent of the damage or repair required until I take it apart.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to get as much information as possible before I come, symptoms, remedies tried, model numbers, age of item, photos, and any other useful information the owner can provide. Then I research the job and make every attempt to arrive prepared to do it in the most efficient and cost effective manner.
