Introduction: I love teaching and learning from my students. After graduation from the University of Miami with a BSBA in finance and management science, I decided to go to learn Italian and go to Italy to be a teacher of religion for two years. The dynamic teaching opportunities and the chance to teach almost exclusively in Italian honed my passion for both the country of Italy and its beautiful language. I was taught to speak Italian fairly well over two months, after which I lived in Italy for two years and taught everyday in Italian. I communicated with all types of people, including the younger generation, like myself, and enjoyed learning all their (appropriate) modern expressions. I know how I learned to speak the Italian language and use its grammar effectively and precisely, so I use the same methods to transmit these language skills to those I teach. Italian, the Italian people, and the food they make are my passions! My work in Italy dealt largely with professionally promoting morals and ethic; therefore, I hold myself to a very high professional and ethical standard in all that I do. I assure my students respect and patience from my end and expect it from them as well. Feedback is very much appreciated as I would like to ensure that those I teach are fully satisfied with the tutoring services they receive. I am conscious of everyday life and understand that my students may have to cancel their appointments at times; therefore, I have a 24-hour cancellation policy and am willing to make up missed lessons. I am willing to meet students wherever is most comfortable for them, whether it be at their home, in a library or book store, or any other location adapted to focus and concentration. Other experience: I taught English to Italians and nonnative English speakers for about one year. I provided real-time translation from Italian to English and vice versa about once per week for one to three hours during my two years in Italy. I look forward to helping you understand what those Italians are really saying: a presto!
