I have been working with Christina *remotely* since the middle of August, and her program has CHANGED my life. I have lost 3% body fat and around 17 pounds (started 253lb, now 236lb). My BMI and metabolic age have decreased. I am 24 and 5ft5. I am more confident in myself, mentally and physically, for being able to make lifestyle changes that lasted, that are improving both my physical & mental health. I am achieving things that I have struggled with my whole life. I was looking for a nutritionist-trainer that was affordable, flexible, consistent, and understanding (especially of my history with disordered eating, mental illnesses, gender identity) - Christina is all of that, and more. She is personally invested in the success of her clients and that's what sets her apart. She understands that weight changes and health needs are not just physical - they are mental, emotional, take time, require education, need to be flexible, and are totally individual. She customises your plan to your needs. She stresses the importance of consistency for long-term results, rather than pushing for immediate results. She pushes you to what she knows YOU CAN DO, and uses positive reinforcement and constructive suggestions to help when you are struggling. You know that negative talk voice in your head saying 'I can't do this', 'I'm going to fail', 'I'll try tomorrow' - Christina's the voice saying 'You will succeed', 'you are amazing', 'I know that you can do this'. She truly believes in the ability of her clients to reach their goals. I feel so blessed to have found her. My whole life I've fluctuated between underweight and overweight, struggled with eating disorders. As an adult have wasted $1000s on lose-weight-quick programs, quack weight loss doctors, trainers, group classes memberships, paid and cancelled over a dozen gym memberships, weight loss pills/tea, tried fad diets (keto/low fat/pesce/vegan), you name it. I was traumatised by all the 'failures' I had put myself through. I was terrified to make a commitment to someone else and share my struggles with them, because what if I 'failed' again or they judged me? The first few weeks of my plan, I still didn't believe that I could do it. But Christina believed in me. With Christina's guidance and holistic support, I feel supported and seen 100%, for the first time in my health journey. ADHD and OCD which have a big impact on my ability to commit and follow through - gender dysphoria makes it difficult to put my body into situations where I may be analysed or judged - anxiety & depression make it hard to see the good in things, or to keep pushing forwards towards a future goal. I have never once felt judged by her, only supported. You have to be ready to accept change and to confront the things which are holding you back (they may be yourself). After doing extensive research I decided to go with Christina as my trainer and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made for myself and my health. I’ve tried weight loss on my own many times and have never been successful, but with Christina I’ve seen huge results and it hasn’t even been 2 months. Her workout plans in and outside of the gym are top of the line, and she tailors them for your personal goals. The guidance she’s given me on nutrition and clean eating is what has helped me see results so fast. Sessions with her are fun but yet I still get a great workout in! Christina is great, she is highly knowledgeable and dedicated. She created an individualized program for me targeting everything I need to achieve my goals including nutrition, stretching to prevent injury, and at home workouts in addition to the gym workouts. She regularly does check-ins during the week to ensure I am on track and not having any issues. I have definitely seen progress in the past 4 months I have been training with her. I love working with Barbella Fit! She always positive about my progress, which helps since I am more motivated by positive feedback. Her workouts and macro planning are just challenging enough to feel like I am working hard but easy enough to follow through.
