Axel is amazing. Not only is he a great teacher but also a great human being. He has many years of experience in piano teaching and definitely knows what his doing because I've seen a lot of improvement in my playing since I started to learn piano with him. I had previous lessons as a kid but quit because I didn't like my teacher. I wish I had a teacher like him as a child. He is very calm and has a lot of patience which is a big plus. He is also very funny and explains things in a simple manner making them easy to understand. I always look forward to my piano lessons because they are so much fun!

I have been playing the piano since I was a kid, mostly focused on classical and pop music. Had always had interest in jazz, but it wasn't until training with Axel that I found I made good progress in understanding the concepts and vocabulary around it. Axel's pedagogical method, coupled with great professional experience and top musical education, make him a top notch instructor. I highly recommend him, whether for seasoned musicians like myself (having played the piano since I was a kid) or new students (he is teaching my six year old son as well).

Trust me ladies and gentlemen, you want to take your piano lessons with Axel. I have been getting lessons from him the past two months in jazz piano and he is a darn MASTER on the piano. He’s a million leagues above me, but I know with persistence and hard work, if I could just get to his level, I could die happy! He’s also a natural teacher. He explains everything in such an easy and approachable way and he knows how to modify everything to fit your level. If something was going over my head (his knowledge is insane) we’ll spend the whole hour practicing and reviewing and he’ll detail EXACTLY what I need to practice at my level. Trust me folks. Don’t pass on him!
