FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always reading on new massage techniques or learning variations to what I currently do in order to adapt it to my personal routines and keep it interesting or guessing for my clients.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love health and how the body works. I used to be a personal trainer and have always been very interested on overall well being since I have been a natural bodybuilder for a few years now and weight train regularly. I also get massaged often so I know most of the benefits. I would give back rubs to friends and family on random occasions and since I had that muscle anatomy background It would help me find the muscles that needed to be worked. It turned out that they said I had great hands and was able to make a difference. So that got me interested enough to become a therapist.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most people just want to relax from stress, so I perform a slow Swedish massage and they usually fall asleep. I do occasionally treat athletes such as runners, bodybuilders, cross fit enthusiasts who usually ask for a sports massage or a deep tissue. I also deal with people with all kinds of injuries and that have had loss of motion or need to be stretched or adjusted, I then use some Neuromuscular or mix some of my specialties.
