Working with Maureen has been an absolute pleasure! She is a wealth of knowledge and helped my 11 year old daughter work with her Service Dog in Training on basic obedience and public access skills. Maureen has an excellent demeanor, is very patient and helped my daughter to know just what to do and not to do to get the desired results from her dog! We highly recommend Maureen!
David is very professional and knowledgeable. He helped me with my too protective, alpha German Shepherd. David is easy going and knows how to communicate and properly train dogs and their owners. My shepherd loves him and he is the only person that I have trusted my dog with when I have gone away. I highly recommend his dog training services!
I am the owner of a very energetic Black Labrador. I knew that I had a dog with high energy and needed professional help with training my puppy. I found Martha Bernal through a friend at work who was happy with her dog training. Martha guided my puppy through ten sessions of puppy training (basic puppy obedience). I was very pleased with her obvious love of dogs and immediate results with each lesson. Martha has a gentle, effective approach to training dogs and my dog responded very well to her training sessions. The end result for me was that my Labrador became a lot more easy to manage because he understood the commands (requests) that I made such as "Come" "Sit" "Stay" "Leave it" and he also stopped jumping up on people. I enjoyed seeing my dog learn and am very happy with the dog training that Martha provided to my dog. He remembers everything she taught him and it makes our family happy to have a well trained big dog. I would recommend her highly to anyone considering a dog trainer.
Luis is just awesome!! I cannot say enough about our experience with him and SunsetK9 Training! Our puppy, Marlo, took to him and responded to him immediately and in no time he had her doing the fundamentals, all in a positive reinforcement manner. I would highly recommend Luis to anyone who wants results with their pet, not to mention how reasonable the hourly rate is, so much value for the price!
Brandi is all my dog and I could have hope for. Great training. Great service. Great progress with my dog's behavior.
Angel was great with our puppy and the training has certainly help us and our dogs quality of life! She's friendly and professional it was a pleasure dealing with her. Dennis
Christina is amazing! She really knows her stuff, is willing to answer any and all questions, and really takes her time training you and your dog. I highly recommend her.
Sarah goes above and beyond when working with dogs and owners. I adopted an obstinate but very affectionate Siberian Husky who had issues with resource guarding. Nakota began attending doggie day care with Sarah and soon became well socialized and much more obedient and responsive. She teaches owners to employ repetitive, consistent positive reinforcement because we often need as much training as the dogs do. I wholeheartedly recommend Tripp's Training for dogs (and people).
A professional experience! They really took time and care to guide the people of the family through training just as much as the dogs! I was completely comfortable with them coming to house and working with my daughters one on one and giving them confidence in their abilities to control the dogs. We had one dog that needed training offsite learning to be a dog and not my daughter's favorite toy. We were updated weekly with progress and videos! I was worried he would come back different in personality. He didn't! He just had dog manners and the desire to follow directions. He still is the loving goofball we all loved. I can't say enough great things about this personable, professional, and effective training company!
I hired Quinn to work with my Boston Terrier mix (Lulu) who was a nightmare on a leash. She constantly pulled and had leash aggression issues. I purchased a package of personal training sessions and have been extremely happy with the results. The training was for me, as much as it was for Lulu. Quinn was really flexible and super easy to work with. Our training sessions started at home but we soon branched out to places like Petco and eventually downtown Dunedin. Lulu has come a long way since her first training session. She now knows several commands and walks nicely beside me on her leash. We are still working to improve her confidence when meeting new dogs on a leash but I continue to see improvement with each new outing. If you have a pup in need of manners, I highly recommend Quinn.
Caroline is a gifted trainer. We have an especially difficult cocker spaniel and Caroline has been a tremendous help in providing training and strategies for handling him. She uses positive reinforcement in her training which is important to us. We can recommend her services without reservation.
Amy's expertise came into our lives at an incredibly important time -- a few months after we had our first baby. Our beloved dog was not always so lovely with everyone. He was very protective and came across as aggressive to a lot of our visitors. Amy worked with us to develop strategies that accommodates our needs, as well as the needs of dog. She explained behavior to us that we had never fully understood. Most importantly, she helped us understand how to create a home that is safe for everyone: our baby, our visitors, and our dog. I only wish I had met her earlier so we could have done puppy classes. I cannot recommend Amy highly enough. She has a deep understanding of dog behavior and her training program is compassionate for the dog and the parents.
Andrea did an excellent job of grooming my miniature poodle. It shows that she loves dogs, and my Lexi showed no signs of stress after I picked her up. Andrea is very professional (and very pretty).
Lane has a true understanding of dogs. I Met lane walking around downtown Dunedin when my GSD (German Shepherd dog) was about 4 months old(about a year ago). We spoke of a mutual love for the breed and how both of our grandparents were involved in K9 training (my grandfather was a k9 judge). Lane never pushed a service our a sales pitch on me he asked me some questions about my GSD. I let him know I was working with a trainer but at times my puppy seemed to rule us. He then told me he moved to the area and is training dogs here and if i ever needed help to call him (His expertise includes guard dogs, behaviors, advance training). During the past year we still were working with the original trainer who was very good as well. Something was missing though and we both felt that we taught my GSD everything we could but, he had a hurdle. You see my GSD would see other dogs and become over stimulated and hard to control and this started at about 7 months old ( He is a very intelligent and high drive GSD who's a sweetheart but stubborn.). He would jump on everybody not listen and tend to be just a brat. With dogs though he would bark aggressively and scare other people even though he just wanted to play he also seemed to be scared of them. So my trainer said let's take some time off and figure out something later. My wife and I talked about how he just needed to age and mellow but I felt this could not wait. I also mentioned how we met Lane and we should call him, but we were feeling a little discouraged and felt it may be better to wait. The next afternoon on the way to the beach I saw Lane walking two dogs and told my wife it's a sign let's just call him and try it. Lane gave us a free consultation that was over an hour. He then gave us his feedback and gave us pricing that was very competitive to any big box store but his is one on one. The difference with Lane though has been dramatic already, he truly has a passion and love for his career. After just a few weeks my GSD has improved with not only his old training but new training as well. My GSD is walking better on leash, reacting less and learning to be a companion and not pushing to be an alpha. Lanes knowledge of reading a dog has been honed since a young age and it shows. My GSD not only loves to go to training but now acts as if Lane is part of the family. My GSD is calmer and now looks for me to command him. We are not perfect by any means (its only been 4 weeks) but I truly believe with Carters k9s my GSD will be perfect and a dog that my grandfather would adore. Ask about the tree stump!

My name is Jessica and I have been a dog trainer for five years. I started at a company then moved up to just working for myself so I can help more owners with dog aggression and anxiety. I used to train dogs full-time, but now I offer training on the side from my full-time job. I have trained dogs from ages eight weeks to nine years. I train all breeds from golden retrievers to labrador retrievers, pit bulls, and wolf hybrids. I can help with teaching your dog commands to helping you become the pack leader in your house. I love helping owners communicate with their dogs. I have also trained dogs to become Canine Good Citizens. I offer my training at a very low price because I don't want training to be a reason the Humane Societies are filling up.
I train dogs for obedience, behavior, socializing, and to help your pet be the best pet he/she can be. I will also teach you to understand your dog's needs. Your dog is eager to please you. He/she just need your help and love.
