- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
With such a variety of coats and sizes, it is extremely difficult to give an accurate quote without seeing a dog in person. Cost is determined by size, coat condition, time it will take to groom, among other aspects.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved animals and have been working with them since I was very young. For many years I was involved in a 4-H club that focused on horses. In college, I volunteered at a marine animal rescue center and got to work with sea turtles in dolphins. Around that time, my mom suggested getting a job at a grooming salon, so I did, and the rest is history! I love my career and wouldn't do anything else!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My entire job consists of making your dog look beautiful, whether I do just a bath or a full groom.
