You are absolutely correct that customers have the right to cancel without being penalized - after 30 days. Our 30-day policy is clearly stated in the signed estimate that you agreed to. This policy ensures fairness for all customers and prevents abuse of our discounted recurring rates. When service is cancelled within 30 days, customers are charged the difference to bring them to our standard one-time service rate - the same rate they would have paid initially for a single visit. There are no hidden fees - everything is transparent and clearly outlined in our estimates before any work begins. By signing the estimate, customers acknowledge and agree to these terms. This is not a "money grab". You attempted to take advantage of our discounted pricing that is reserved for customers who are hiring us on a weekly or bi weekly basis. You signed up for this service and cancelled after the first visit claiming your family would take over. This is clearly a "one time mow" as we ONLY did one service on your property and you are going to be charged as such. This is ENTIRELY OUTLINED IN THE ESTIMATE THAT YOU SIGNED AND AGREED TO. While some may view this as 'just a lawn service,' we are a professional, licensed, and insured business - not just someone with a pickup truck who might disappear next month.
