I could not be happier with Witmer's services. Over the last few years they have been my go-to for all post-production services. They've cut short films, corporate videos and stock-footage heavy video content. My favorite aspect of their work is the evident understanding of dramatics and story structure. Most evident in the fictional films they've cut for me, but still palpable in conventional commercial videos, Witmer knows that the fundamental core of any piece is a moving story that captures attentions as well as emotions. Whether that be through carving a narrative out of mountains of disjointed footage, conveying complex themes purely through stock clips or even just suggesting moods through font choice and color, Witmer's attention to detail and sensitivity to style elevates everything they've cut for me. It's also worth noting that they are a one-stop-shop for any form of post production necessary, be it in brand of content or visual style. They are able to delivery high quality, strikingly professional corporate products with the same creative prowess and visual intrigue of low-fi, avant-garde tone poems. They thrive when given creative liberty, but have been able to seamlessly match pre-existing visual styles. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Trust is everything. My first step is always to call new clients on the phone as soon as possible to establish a strong start to the working relationship. After listening to my clients needs, I would propose a relationship / work flow that fits those needs specifically.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been editing since I was in Elementary School - what career path I wanted to follow was never a question. By attending the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, I was able to equip myself with the education and experience I needed to truly make this work my profession.
