Introduction: I take a very personal approach with each of my students. Because I nearly lost a child to drowning many years ago, I am dedicated beyond that of a normal swim instructor. Our family avoided near tragedy, but I am mindful of the many families that aren't fortunate to report the same. Drowning is quick and silent. You won't hear it happen. I believe in multiple layers of protection at home, including, constant supervision, door alarms, pool fences, swimming lessons and CPR. I absolutely love my students. I enjoy getting to know each family and making them part of my extended family. I love the joy of independence I see on my students' faces when they finish their first series of lessons. It warms my heart!

Tina is such a gem! She is so patient, and really has an understanding of each child's needs. She teaches both my girls..ages 3 and 5. My five year old was swimming after 2 wks of classes, and is getting stronger in skill every day. My 3 year old had some trouble early on , and Tina quickly brought up some ideas to help her progress. She was so eager to help my daughter, and she has! I am so thankful we found Little Otters:)

Tina Baron is absolutely amazing! I have a 11 month old boy and a little girl that just turned 3 years old. This is their first time is class. Tina has been nothing but patient and motivating with them both. My daughter is so excited to swim. She ask every morning, "Do we have swim today?" Followed by "I like Ms. Tina!" It has been my pleasure to have her as an instructor.

I would highly recommend Tina for swimming lessons. Before coming to Tina our five year old would swim with his face out of the water and would not make much progress in the water. After 3 weeks of lessons with Tina he now knows the following stokes: free style, breaststroke, butterfly, and backstroke. Tina modified these stokes to reinforce "floating water safety" by having him roll over in to a float to get a breath of air. Before and after his class Tina worked with infants. I observed that she truly individualized each students class to the appropriate skills.

Tina was great with our kids. She was patient, loving, and persistent. The kids took to her immediately. Even when my littlest one didn't want to do something she was very good at convincing him to perform the skill she needed him to learn. Both my children now know how important it is to be able to float, and they do it all the time when we are in the pool. I would whole heartedly recommend this swim school for anyone with small children.

What types of customers have you worked with?
One on one swim instruction, including swim-float-swim. I teach infants the very critical roll-to-float technique. I teach walking toddlers and children to swim. I will drive to clients personal pool for an additional trip charge. If the parent hosts other children at their home pool I will waive a trip charge and reduce their lesson price.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I am a proud advocate of Josh the Otter Water Safety Program and I also host book readings to help promote safety in and around the water.
