- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system is based on the size of a job or contract. If it is over a certain amount, I will break things down into payments of thirds or halves. Other than that, I am pretty transparent.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I am an active member of the PPA (Professional Photographers of America), go to workshops and conferences, as well as online trainings to learn new techniques.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I noticed some great nature photography in Patagonia's company catalog while being an outdoor guide. Seeing that the photographer was from Asheville, NC (where I lived at the time) I called him on the phone, said I wanted to learn, and the rest is history. Next thing I knew, I was waking up at 5am in the back of a Nissan truck to go photograph the US Olympic Whitewater Team.
