Introduction: NEW TO THUMBTACK Jim Curran: 35 years in golf industry. Twenty five year PGA Class(A) member. I have extensive teaching experience having given over 20,000 lessons in my career to all ages and skill levels. Beginners are welcome. My college education was at Auburn University paid for by a golf scholarship. I was captain and held tournament scoring record for 20+ years. I have been on staff at 10 different private clubs, most recently as Director of Golf at Fisher Island off of Miami Beach. I’m available seven days a week. $85.00 per hour, various discounts available.

Jim was a great coach especially for a beginner like me. He is patient and understanding. Makes all his instructions easy to grasp the basics of golf. I’d 100% recommend Jim as a coach to anyone especially if they’re new to golf.

I had a hard time getting out of sand bunkers and it was costing me 2 to 3 shots per round..I went to Jim and in one lesson he completely fixed my problem..That was two years ago and it has dramatically improved my game.I highly recommend Jim as a golf instructor

I’ve been working with Jim for over a year now and only wished I would have started sooner. I never got lessons and picked up the game 20+ years ago with some bad habits. Jim makes small changes and reinforces those changes until you feel comfortable and get the result you’re looking for. I also have taken both of my 12 year old junior golfers to him and he is great with them. Highly recommend him and will continue to work with him while I’m playing in south Florida.
