Marcelo was so easy to work with and he and his crew were very professional besides being top notch painters. I had quotes from several other companies which were all typically more than I Paint USA but choosing to work directly with the contractor himself rather than a big company sales rep was the right decision. Now my neighbors are jealous and my house looks great! Thank you Marcelo.
Holy crap. A contractor that was not a rip off, WAS ON TIME, and cleaned. Did I mention he was on time ? Excellent work (faucet repair).
Excellent work on filling in and creating new drywall boxes for duct work. Finished quickly too. reasonable price too.
We had a job of about 1600sqft of flooring that needed removal and installation of tile. Out of all the contractors who quoted us, Gabriel had the best value and was willing to start the next day. He was professional, and his crew members, Bernado and Bernito were pleasant as well. They also completed the job (along with some painting) in exactly week! They showed up each day at 8am sharp, and always had a great attitude. I would highly recommend their services to anyone, heck Gabriel's easy going personality and humor, makes going through a renovation a breeze! We plan on using them on future projects after a job well done!
I have been dealing with contractors for over 30 years however, I must say Tony Small is the most thorough and professional. He came in assessed what needed to done, gave me a time frame, advised me upfront what issues I could run into and what his solution would be if that was to occur. I am extremely pleased with his work ethic!! He completed the job without any issues in the promised time frame. I would absolutely recommend T. Small Construction if you need an honest and professional General Contractor. THANK YOU!!!
Mike was great! At first I was skeptical because I was looking for someone to remove a hot tub and back fill it with concrete, but he shows up as a Plumbing and A/C service. But he gave me an excellent quote and seemed to know what he was talking about and had done jobs like it before, so I decided to hire him. He knocked it out in about 6 hours while I was at work. He even did a little extra work by cutting the concrete where the pool was to make it smooth and straight so I could lay brick pavers. And the icing on the cake?.....he accepts credit cards! I rarely come across self-employed contractors who take credit cards (which is my preferred method of payment), so this was huge for me. Fast, friendly and has a great work ethic. HIGHLY recommend. See photos for before and after.
JOBERT at Finishers Repair and Consulting was excellent! He did a great job tiling, electrical and windows work. He was good at detecting problems and finding solutions. Repaired work done poorly by other contractors. He always calls to tell when he is coming or if any changes in schedules. This is someone who knows what he is doing and will call again when I need more work done.
Doug coordinated a lot of pieces and different contractors to get my job done in only 3 days of work. Everyone did a good job and I would recommend him for general contractor/handyman projects and will likely use him in the future for additional projects.
Exelant work , very fast , reasonable prices ... The only contractors I'll use . Thank you
Very professional contractors. I had them remodel my master bathroom it came beautiful, and was completed very fast. Pleasure to work with, very polite gentlemen. Work was very clean and Clean up was immaculate. They offered suggestions to make my bathroom more functional and modern. Was so pleased with their work I'm also hiring them back to redo my kitchen countertops, they had some great suggestions to help improve the look of my kitchen. Definitely recommend them for home improvements.
The Painting Specialist painted the entire exterior of my house. They were prompt, professional and delivered a great quality job. I couldn't be more pleased.
All Around Builders handled our reno of a 3,400 sq ft condo in downtown Fort Lauderdale and did an outstanding job. I am in real estate and have dealt with numerous contractors over the last 3 decades and Robert and his team are clearly top notch among them. He was tremendously flexible and able to handle all requests in a timely manner. More importantly, he used his vast experience to make suggestions that ultimately saved us money and resulted in a better product over all. We trusted his entire team and had no reservations about letting them have full access of our home even after we moved in with our 2 dogs. They were respectful of our space and diligent in the work. They were always responsive, and addressed all our concerns. They even patiently dealt with my picky wife, and always with a smile. We are very satisfied customers and would highly recommend them.
Great contractor helped fulfill my home reno needs!
Had 2 exterior doors painted. Not the cleanest of paint lines, got some paint on the outer edge of stucco, around door trim and had to come back next day to correct. Not a professional job by any means, satisfactory.I provided all materials, paint included. Did not clean the brushes I provided and hadbto throw tem away.
MVM is a licensed contractor.but they aren't the ones doing the work. It's a front for them to allow another company, Olaf Commercial Service to use their licensed status in order to portray themselves as licensed. The person who responded to my quote request through Thumbtack was Miquel. He portrayed we was a rep of MVM and presented a contract from MVM. However, The first time I had to make a payment Miguel asked that I make the check payable to his drywall company, Olaf commercial. We agreed on a price for my entire project which included gutting and reframing a bathroom and gutting a kitchen and installing cabinets. He asked for a $1200 down payment upon signing the contract with MVM. After he finished removing popcorn ceiling, he asked for more money. He kept pressuring me for more money. To date, I have paid him $6000.00 and all he has done is removed the popcorn in my living room and replaced a 72x80 area of a wall with wood pieces I had. The last straw came this week when he asked for more money when I gave him an additional $1500 on the day he had been last to me house. On this day, all he did was move furniture and install a ceiling fan. For having received $6000 in advance of doing the most major work (which has yet to be done), it felt like I was being given the shake down. These people are a fraud. They want money and more money without having done the work. I have so much renovation going on at my house that I did not have the energy to fight Miguel over money. He took advantage. He had not finished removing the popcorn in my ceiling and hallway when I left tuesday of this week. Today I hired another contractor who finished the ceiling work in the common areas for $600. I only wish I had found them first before I relied on Thumbtack to refer a reputable company. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE.
I have been working with Jim for the past few weeks and I find him to be very professional. He is one of the few General Contractors that I have found to be professional and experience. We havent started the project yet, but he is on target with break down of costs and with clear communication. Communication is the #1 quality I look for when choosing any contractor. Jim is on his game!
Don't be fooled by Ken's easy going personality. He is a genius when it comes to kitchens. I had received estimates from 4 other contractors for renovating my kitchen. I was deeply disappointed with their lack of work ethic and follow though. From day 1 Ken answered his phone, texts, and kept in constant contact. I was never left hanging wondering if I would hear back from him again. He came in with the design that was amazing despite the limited space in my condo. He treated me with great respect even though it was not a high end / large kitchen, and put in 110% effort into the project. I would not hesitate to recommend him and cannot say enough about how impressed I am with his integrity and talent. You cannot go wrong hiring Ken. Thank you Ken Walker I love my kitchen!!
Levay is a very experienced and professional contractor. His crew worked very hard to get all 3 of my roofs done on time and under budget!!! Levay was there for everything, if an issue arose it was taken care of. Levay is the only call you will need to make for all your home repair needs!!!!!
Legacy Brothers is wonderful to work with. Efficient, good workmanship contractors, reliable. We highly recommend them.
Five Construction build a detached, oversized, 3 car garage for me. (actually a 2 car garage with a work-shop/man-cave). It included a bathroom and shower, and was designed with exterior features (such as dormers) to match my house perfectly. The building is extremely well built, with important details such as block and tie-beam gables (Normally GC's will make these plywood and stucco). The build went exceptionally well. I have contracted several other buildings in the past, and this experience was by far the best. They work closely with the homeowner to reduce costs where possible, while delivering a high quality building. My build is more of a shop, and is built to be rugged. Nothing fancy. I wanted it that way because.... well... it's a shop. (also wanted to contain costs). It does have a fully finished and drywall interior throughout, insulated attic with ladder access, great/solid window and door work, and the bathroom is actually pretty nice with the tile work. I have seen other Five Construction projects that were beautiful, elegant, and very fancy. The team can do a wide range of project types from the utilitarian (like mine), to the elaborate. The number 1 thing I most appreciated from Five Construction is the Integrity, communications, and service I received. Like any custom build, surprises happen, issues arise, changes, updates and modifications... all are to be expected. In the case of Five Construction, when something popped up, the owner of the business was right on top of it, getting it right, and getting it done. In fact, Mr. Tiedeman (the owner) performed constant quality checks and walkthroughs of his team and/or subs. The work site was kept very neat and free of debris throughout the build. This is in fact pretty rare in the GC business. Normally, the homeowner is constantly tugging the sleeve of the GC to correct issues, clean up the site, or make changes... and wondering if they will ever return a phone call. Absolutely not the case with these folks. They were always in communication and gave clear status reports on schedule, inspections, Subs, and any pop-ups. Just excellent all the way around. This General Contractor is a veteran of the US NAVY, and consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure you receive exceptional value, and quality, at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them for your build/renovation project.
Honest company with required licensing and insurance. Completed all projects, paid all material invoices. Drug free company. All subcontractors are licensed and insured as well.
