The client independently purchased all materials, including the artificial turf, and specifically requested a more affordable installation option. As a courtesy, we also provided a $150 discount compared to other competitors, trying to accommodate the client’s budget. Although site preparation was not part of the original agreement, our crew voluntarily brought several wheelbarrows of dirt to help level the area and improve the final result — at no additional charge. Regarding the damaged pipe: the underground water line was not marked, disclosed, or visible, and no prior notice was given about its location. As with standard industry practice, contractors cannot be held responsible for unmarked underground utilities. That said, the repair mentioned was outside the scope of work we were hired and paid for. As for cleanup, removal of old turf and debris was also not included in the agreement, since the materials belonged to the homeowner and disposal was never discussed beforehand. We always strive to be on time, fair, and transparent — and as noted, our crew arrived on time both days and completed the agreed work. Full-service artificial turf projects (including materials, preparation, installation, and warranty) are something we regularly offer, but this client chose a partial, budget-focused option, which can sometimes lead to misunderstandings if expectations go beyond the agreement.
