FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing and fees vary depending on how far it is for me to travel to get to the pet setting house. the one thing that I always wanted to do is make it affordable for the person to be able to have their pets cared for as they would care for them and still be able to enjoy their vacation knowing that their animals in their home were being taken care of. I also take care of pets in my house as long as they get along with my dog Max who's pretty easy to get along with.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet the animal and interact with the animal depending on if I'm going to their house or they are coming to mine. If they are going to be staying at my house I asked if the people bring their dog over to my house so that they can get used to my surroundings. I can interact with them. Sometimes I also just do a playdate for them and my dog to see the interaction of the two and my interaction of having the animal in my house. if I'm going to their house I definitely want to go to their house and practice coming in and letting them see me walk through the front door. I'll even come over and spend several hours just getting them used to me. in some instances where there is a protective animal of his surroundings I will even have the owner go down the street and wait while I enter the house on my own after getting to know the animal that way there used to be coming in without the benefit of their parents with them. also if all else fails and I have an emergency situation where I do not have the flexibility to be able to get the know the dog or cat first there's always treats as I walk in the door LOL.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been with animals all my life. I have had the pleasure of working side-by-side with a very good friend that bred and showed Yorkshire Terriers. she taught me so much about animal behavior and they're very Souls. I was in dog shows and helped win a championship for my dog Courtney. I did began working later on in life for a dog grooming and Holistic Animal food business and learned animal behavior and how to handle animals. since I started my pet setting career I have also taken Red Cross Life saving for animals. in working with the owner of Naturals for Animals I have learned what to do in situations that are a crisis bearing decision-making times. So between the dog showing becoming a pet owner and working for 9 years Naturals for animals I believe that I bring to the table a lot of experience and information. this helps me cope with a variety of situations that come up when you were watching someone's pets.
