After a couple of tours in Afghanistan as a scout sniper with the U.S. Marines, I started roofing in Buffalo, New York, for a family-owned operation.. When I moved to Florida, again I took up roofing but for a less than ideal company that didn’t exactly put customers first. I knew homeowners deserved better. McAuley Roofing is the real deal—so glad we chose them! My wife and I have heard a lot of nightmare stories about roofers who do shoddy work or rip you off—and we even had one roofer try to make us victims of insurance fraud by damaging our roof. So, looking for a roofer this time, we tried to be really careful and got a bunch of estimates from different companies. I ended up choosing McAuley for several reasons. First, their reviews were stellar (though you never know for sure with reviews). But the real thing that impressed me was how much time and care Omar spent at the property to give the estimate. Other roofers came by, took maybe a 5-10 minute look, and sent estimates a day or two later. Omar spent somewhere from 45 minutes to an hour up on a ladder meticulously inspecting every single board of our soffits and fascia the entire perimeter of the house. Then he spent time in his truck writing up a detailed estimate on the spot—all just for an estimate! Omar’s hard work earned the job—and when I saw McAuley is a Veteran owned company whose owner started it because he’d worked for roofing companies that didn’t put customers first, that sealed it for me. Reasonable cost estimate was a plus as well. Omar is a nice, personable guy and was always responsive throughout the process, from the first visit through the scheduling process and two-day job (which he supervised in person). He gave me a time-frame to expect the job to be done, and they got the job done within the time frame—without going a cent over their estimate. His team did a great job and we couldn’t be happier. If we ever need more roofing done, we’ll hire them again in a heartbeat. In a state full of ripoffs and fraudsters, McAuley is a roofing company you can trust, and trust to get the job done right!
