My daughter has been working with Scott Alan for just a short time and I have been so impressed with the progress she has made already. He is completely present during their time together, he makes her feel comfortable, engaged and their shared love and talent for music, specifically vocals, was beautiful to watch. Further, the studio is such a fun, colorful environment. My daughter leaves every session more excited than the last. Truly thrilled we found Scott.

My first vocal lesson in nearly 20 years reminded me why great coaching matters.
As an experienced vocalist and entertainer, I wasn't looking to start over—I was looking for someone who could help me refine, strengthen, and better understand my voice. From the very first lesson, Scott was able to identify areas for improvement and explain concepts in a way that immediately clicked.
He's easy to work with, focused on my goals, and I feel genuinely invested in helping me become a better singer. I left motivated, encouraged, and eager to practice. After just one lesson, I can already hear and feel positive changes in my voice.
I'm excited to see where this journey leads. Thanx Scott, see ya next practice!

I knew this man was the real deal when in my very first lesson I was told to jump on a treadmill and start singing. Scott Alan has unlocked things in my voice I never knew existed and he does so in a way that’s fun and easy to understand, and has helped me become a much stronger and confident vocalist. He’s got a perfect balance of seriousness and witty humor that makes you wish there were more teachers like him. Of course, not every voice teacher is perfect for everyone, but don’t pass up on giving this guy a shot.

Had an excellent experience working with Scott. He immediately puts you at ease, is extremely knowledgeable and well-versed in coaching others, and has the ability to make difficult things easier to comprehend. He is patient, engaging and genuinely interested in the student’s success. I look forward to working with him further.

Scott is dynamic and enthusiastic. His focus is on the student. Scott has talent to share. My voice improved almost immediately and my confidence continues to grow. Scott is versatile. I am in my sixties and sing church music. He adapted to my needs effortlessly. He taught me that belting out a pop song can be good practice and fun too. I highly recommend Scott as a vocal coach whether a beginner or a professional singer. With Scott’s know-how and encouragement, you’ll be thrilled with the result of your hard work. Thanks Scott!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I’m a huge believer that you get what you pay for. If you’re hiring someone for $30, don’t expect them to take care of you in the way someone who charges more. My prices are comparable to others in the industry.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I focus on teaching my students how to break down their walls and emotionally connect with their material while keep their voice healthy and expanding their range. Start building and working on your audition songbooks and get into the college (and the show) of your dreams.
I work with my songwriting students on how to build a song from scratch and find the heart in the song that they’ve kept inside for way too long. I work with beginner and advanced songwriters.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have written songs for some of today's brightest talent in all formats from Jazz (Jane Monheit) to Theatre (Cheyenne Jackson, Jonathan Groff, Shoshana Bean) to Pop (Pentatonix, Marc Broussard, Taylor Dayne).
