Introduction: The reason my work stands out is because I am critical about paying attention to the smallest detail. I do not charge by the hour but rather for the job to be completed. Due to the pains I take, by the hour I probably would not make minimum wage. I recently had the need for a furniture repair person to paint a treasured chair and cane a new seat for it. I am delighted that I met Bob Tangeman on this site. He could perform all of the work I desired for a favorite rocking chair. How did you get started doing this type of work?
The good Lord blessed me with a good pair of hands and an equally good mind that enables me to vision what a finished product looks like. Since I do enjoy working with my hands, my hobby has always been wood working. Now that I am retired, I do this to stay active.
What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs that I perform are stripping the finish, sanding, re-staining and applying several coats of polyurethane or lacquer Sanding lightly between coats.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I just completed refinishing 5 antiques for a customer. He was extremely satisfied and happy with my work. I have also refinished 3 tables
