Introduction: My name is Dana Laag, and DAL LLC is my licensed, insured and trusted fine art, mural and installation service. I am an accredited, professional fine artist, muralist, installation expert and digital designer. I have been working as an exhibiting artist for 15 years, muralist for 5 years, and curating/performing installations for 5 years. Designing and executing projects from start to finish is an absolute joy for me, and I love working with my clients to achieve their vision. I have an extremely diverse painting ability so i can accomplish murals in different and styles to fit what my client is looking for. I keep the needs of my client at the forefront, and am very easy to work and communicate with. Happy to be as flexible as possible to work under a time frame and budget, if communicated up front. ⭐Not disruptive to the home environment ⭐Child and pet friendly ⭐Able to work remote for design jobs and custom art pieces only. $65/hr base rate for installations, additional fees for extended travel and/or any specialty hardware necessary. Hello Dena, first and foremost when I reached out to many muralist Dana was the only one with prompt and courteous service. She immediately set the right expectation and what she could provide. For myself the bachelor first looking at my 50-year-old house secondary bathroom that had no life. She not only brought it to life but made it fun and brought the beach life to that bathroom. Truly incredible to say the least She’s very warm and inviting and infectious because you can tell she really likes what she does. I would prefer her to anyone and I could tell you I am very very picky.

We contacted Dana along with 3 other artists to commission a vey large mural (over 400sqft) for our pool space. We informed all of them up front we were seeking input and designs from more than one artist. Dana was very appreciative and understanding of our approach. While we did not end up hiring Dana, working with her over a 2 week period to get her initial designs was easy and we felt like she put great effort into trying to capture our vision, but ultimately, another artist did a bit better job...wish is why we didn't just contact a single artist as everyone sees and hears things differently. I would highly recommend contacting Dana to discuss your ideas and see what she comes up with because she has an extremely good resume of work and feel like she would have done a wonderful job for us had we hired her.

Working Dana was a very positive experience over the 2 days it took for her to complete the 8 x 12 outdoor mural. She took an idea flawlessly from concept to completion, worked with me to explain the process and reasons for materials and design choices. Dana was focused on the task from start to finish while being personable and engaging. I enjoyed working with her and look forward a 2nd mural, this on on an interior wall. My recommendation of her is offered enthusiastically without reservation.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I price based on materials, time, travel and level of desired detail. I am very transparent about my pricing, and always happy to try to meet a budget!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love the initial meeting with clients, and picking their brains about what exactly they want to accomplish. The more carefully I can construct your needs/vision in that initial meetup, the happier and more fulfilled we both feel. Recreating someone else's vision can sometimes be a major challenge, but I will rework a piece or project several times, or until my client expresses true satisfaction.
