Forget the rest. I thought I knew what superior sound was, and then I recorded with Mike Cohen at Signature. I've recorded in Studio A of Jimi Hendrix's Electric Lady Studios, one of the best studios in the world, and Mike Cohen's studio gave me the same sonic magic - and actually even a little more! Mike is a musician first. He used his golden ears to select the greatest gear from past and present and make you sound like a million bucks. He will bring out the tone in your voice and instrument like you never imagined. No studio in his region, possibly state, can sound as exquisite. Mike's not only easy to work with, but he really really cares. If you engage him for guidance in production, he will take your music to its absolute best. I'm very very picky, and I can actually say Mike is one of the only truly uncompromising recordists around. It's impossible to find the real thing when you're looking for recording services. Mike Cohen of Signature Sounds is the real thing - Don't pass up the chance to work with him!

The Backtrack Blues Band chose Signature Sound Recording to record our fifth album. We value a natural , analogue sound, that avoids the " over processed " sounds of so many high tech recording studios. Michael Cohen completely understood , and shared , our goals. I'm not an engineer , so I won't attempt to describe how Michael gets his sound. I do believe it has a lot to do with his rare microphones , pre amps, and the mixing board . He captured our sound better than any other studio has , over our 30 year history of recording . Plus , Michael showed a sincere and expert understanding of our blues music, and made it come to life in the studio. We expect this album to be our best. Most of the credit goes to the way that Michael took ownership of the results, and became an advisor and friend to the band and our original music. His focus was entirely on helping us achieve the tracks and feel that we valued. Plus , he made recording FUN.......isn't that why we do it in the first place? We are so fortunate to have forged a relationship with Michael, and we feel that his talents are exceptional and authentic. Sonny Charles

What can I say, the recording equipment is among the best you can ever dream of being recorded through. Its a small studio near Interstate 75, which is convenient and purposeful. Sessions are smooth, Michael will see to it that you are happy with your final product.

Great experience first time in a recording studio. Great vibe and very great production skills. I recommend for any genre of recording artists.
