Jessica was very responsive in scheduling a convenient date to pick up the furniture I wanted to get rid of. They were fast and the price was unbeatable! I definitely would use their service again and would recommend them to anyone else trying to get rid of their junk for a very reasonable price! They don't just do junk removal either! They do pressure washing, property clean ups, cleaning services, lawn services, and small tree services! I am very impressed and happy that I hired them.

Joseph met with my wife and myself to discuss our initial project. It was quite a job and we paid $1100 in total. He had a helper who walked off the job after about 5 hours, but he located a replacement. Job consisted of plants and "Bird of Paradise" removals. Removal of tons of debris etc. Never complained. Professional. We believe we will continue using his services.

Mr. Carbrera did a great job at cutting the tree down. He kept me posted the entire day so I knew when exactly when he would be here. He was well equipped with a bucket truck and all the supplies needed to do an appropriate job. He presented all options to me; trimming... All the way to removal. He also cleaned up the entire area very thoroughly. He was extremely reasonable... 1/3 of a the previous estimate... I will be calling him in the future and referring him to friends and family. I would give 10 stars if I could.

Justin was extremely professional & very accommodating. As a woman with a small child, I was skeptical at first about having someone I don't know come to my home. However, Justin was very polite and made the process effortless. He was on time, worked quickly, and cleaned everything up behind himself. I couldn't have asked for more. I now know who I will call (and refer) for any future tree trimming/removal services. Job VERY well done! Thanks, Justin!

Larry came out and gave me a quote for the services I had requested and also let me know about a tree that was actually dead in my front yard. He gave us an excellent price and we are very grateful that he noticed the dead tree since it very likely could have caused serious damage to our home if we had not had it removed. Larry and his team did an excellent job trimming our trees and removing the large dead oak from our property. They were thorough and very professional. The crew did a great job cleaning up all the debris and leaving our property looking great. We will definitely be using them again in the future.

I'm very satisfied with the quality of the work at a reasonable price. Jerry understood that I'm just trying to get a few more years out of an old wood fence and just replaced what really needed it. I highly recommend Tampa Bay Property Maintenance for wood fence repairs.

They were able to take down all of the trees and remove the debris in about 5 hours. He even offered to remove an additional tree at no extra charge. I would highly recommend his company to anyone interested in tree removal service.

Paul and his team did a great job with my tree service. The price was fair and the removal was a large job in a really tricky spot behind our house. The guys found a way to get to the dying tree, fearlessly climbed it, took it down and hauled it away without any issues.

I needed a stump removed and some trees trimmed. Ken came out and did a free estimate. I also got a few other estimates and Ken's was the most reasonable I could find. I hired him to do the job, he showed up on time and did an excellent job in a timely manner for a great price. He gets the job done from start to finish. I highly recommend him.

Jose and crew were fantastic. The yard needed the leaves removed before they could mow. They sent us a quote, which we accepted, and they got to work. The yard looks amazing; they even took extra care to clean up our mulched areas! Great job!

It was a real pleasure meeting Luis and his team. Luis is "old school" and, if he tells you something, he stands by it. I knew right off that he had a lot of integrity because he called me to let me know that he was running a little late but was on his way. He believes, as I do, that when you tell someone you'll be there at a given time, you should make every effort to fulfill that promise. Unfortunately, not all businesses operate like that anymore. They worked hard to complete my tree trimming and "big bird" removal. Before leaving, they cleaned (blew, raked, etc.) all areas. I am very satified with their services and highly recommend them. I needed four very large trees removed from my home. I met with seven different tree removal companies and received quotes from five. When it comes to tree removal, finding an honest company is difficult. Many are shady and willing to cut corners to just get paid. When I met with Kenneth with Triangle, it took me 5 minutes to know this was the right company. He is a certified Arborist, he took the time to listen to what I wanted. He spent 30 minutes in my back yard taking notes and measurements. He emailed the estimate same day. We scheduled the dates for the job and he did not push me to do anything I did not want to do. He even came back out to meet me and go over all parts of the job that would be done so there was no question. The job done was hands down, excellent. Zero issues. I highly recommend this company. As you receive quotes for jobs you need done, this company has to be one that you call - you will see just as I did this company is class A rated. I am also a local law enforcement officer in Pinellas County.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to trim a tree?

The national price range for tree trimming is $270-$450. Tree trimming is often done by a professional arborist who is trained to safely trim and prune trees for both the health of the tree and the safety of the residents and their property. Trying to do your own tree trimming is not advisable unless you have the proper know-how. Tree trimming companies may charge an hourly rate for their services. The hourly rate may be higher or lower for different trees to reflect the relative safety measures, skill, equipment or people power needed to handle the job. For this reason, most tree services provide free estimates.

One example of an hourly rate for professional tree trimming services is $150 per hour. Costs may be under $100 or could be higher than $300 per hour, depending on variables such as proximity to buildings, health of the tree, height and diameter of the tree, and type of tree trimming desired. Geography and regional cost of living and regional costs to do business will also play a role in your tree removal costs.

How much does it cost to remove a tree stump?

Once you have a tree cut down, you’ll probably want to remove the tree stump as well. You may want the stump removed for aesthetics, the tree stump could be diseased, you might want to prevent regrowth, or you may find the roots are causing problems and need to be removed. Tree removal costs don’t always include the cost to grind out or dig out a tree stump after the tree has been felled and the trunk removed. The national average cost for stump removal ranges from $150 to $200. There are two main methods for dealing with tree stumps. In grinding, pros use a chipping machine to grind away the above-level tree stump until it sits just below the soil surface. Tree stump removal entails lifting the entire root ball of a tree out of the soil. Removing the stump will leave a hole in the ground and also take more time, labor and money than stump grinding. Here are some examples of average tree stump removal costs:

  • Stump grinding: $2-$4 per inch.
  • Tree stump removal: average of $60-$350.

The final price will depend on the stump’s size, condition, location and condition of the soil around it.

How much does it cost to remove a fallen tree?

If you need to have a tree cut down, have you planned what will happen next? Arborists often charge an additional fee to quarter and remove the fallen tree from your property, so anticipate this as part of your tree removal costs. You can elect to have the wood cut for use in your fireplace, or you may prefer to have it hauled away completely.

Tree removal costs may vary based on the height and the width of the felled tree. Size affects the labor required for removal, which will be reflected in the cost. For example, a tree service company may charge an additional $100-$120 to haul away the pieces of a felled tree. The service may cost as little as $75 in some regions and more than $150 in others. Regional labor rates, the cost of living and the cost to do business in your area will be reflected in your tree removal cost.

How much does it cost to cut a tree down?

When you’re ready to have a tree on your property come down, it’s time to call an arborist. The national average price range for tree-trimming costs is $270-$450. Tree removal costs can vary based on the height, diameter, location and health of the tree, and on whether you want to remove the stump. Height plays a major role in tree removal costs. Small trees, no more than 30 feet tall, are usually thinner in diameter and easier and safer for an arborist to manage. Removal of a small tree can cost anywhere from under $150 to over $450. Removal of medium-height trees, from 30 feet to 60 feet tall, could cost anywhere between $150 and $850 or more. Tall trees, typically 60 feet to 80 feet tall, may start at $500 or cost more than $1,000 to cut down. As the height and diameter increase, so does the cost.

Location is critical, too. Removing a tree in an open space is quicker and presents fewer obstacles than removing a tree that is growing flush to your house. Arborists can assess your tree and provide you with quotes based on the variables involved. For example, removing a medium-size hackberry tree that was growing too close to a home — the roots were damaging the home’s foundation — cost $1,500. This price included rope-down, house protection, tree quartering and stacking, and stump removal.

How much does it cost to have your lawn mowed?

Regular lawn maintenance can do wonders for your home’s curb appeal. Professional lawn care prices will vary based on the regional cost to do business and regional cost of labor, the size of your lawn, and any additional services you may desire such as edging or mulching. The national average for lawn mowing costs is $30-$50. Pros may charge an hourly rate, a flat rate or by the square foot (an acre contains 43,560 square feet). Square footage rates factor in the professional’s time, the use of their equipment, and the gas to operate the mower. Distance may also affect cost: If you live outside the company’s standard service range, you may pay an additional travel fee. Here are some examples of average prices for mowing and lawn maintenance:

  • Up to 8,000-square-foot property: $30 per week/$120 per month.
    • Bimonthly: $40 per service/$80 per month.
    • One time only: $45 per service.
      • Prices include mowing all turf grass areas; trimming grass away from fences, structures, trees, and lawn edges; and clearing or blowing all grass trimmings from driveways, sidewalks, curbs, etc.
  • Hourly rate: $25 per hour (including travel, equipment costs and labor).
  • Lot size:
    • Smaller lots in subdivisions: $35.
    • Half-acre lot: $50.
    • One-acre lot: $100.
