Introduction: KETCH offers daycare, boarding, obedience, flyball, and agility. KETCH's Mission Statement To assist people in becoming aware of physical and emotional needs of their dog and how these needs relate to our own. To educate dog owners in creating a lifestyle to meet these needs and develop a bond and relationship through positive training. To provide a caring, safe, comfortable, and fun atmosphere for canines, while owners cannot be with their canine companion. KETCH classes and activities are dedicated to providing leadership and resources to dog owners choosing to develop a lifetime of love and trust with their dogs. KETCH is located in five beautiful acres in Tampa, Florida. Our indoor facility is 120x50 ft. Play areas are padded and matted for your canine's comfort. Attached to our indoor facility is a 120x200 ft. covered dog sport arena, making this the ultimate canine complex and the largest in Florida. A country-like setting in the city, we're just two miles south of Citrus Park Mall on Gardner Rd. off Sheldon Rd. KETCH has customized playgrounds for dogs and puppies of all ages, providing full of exciting experiences! Our doggie daycare/boarding services provide a safe, comfortable, and educational environment your dog will enjoy staying at while you are at work or gone for the day/week. We have air-conditioned play areas indoor with a separate outdoor potty area. KETCH offers a variety of training classes and events for all dogs, young and not-so-young. Whether you want an obedience trial champion or a couch potato champion, KETCH is the place. Group classes are taught for all levels of obedience, flyball, tricks, and agility. Private lessons are also available to accommodate your schedule, to work on certain behaviors you want to create or delete, etc. Sheep herding is also offered. KETCH instructors are all knowledgeable in the field of dog behavior and training. All instructors have earned many titles and teach throughout the country. Our instructors believe in compassion for the dogs and training with passion. Dog training methods have improved over the years, and we proudly instruct our classes using motivational techniques. We will teach you to teach your dog. The bond you form with your dog through training is to be cherished. We appreciate your time and interest and hope to see you and your canine companion soon at K-9 Educational Training Center of Hillsborough. Please feel free to call with any questions. The following is our general information on our daycare and boarding services. KETCH welcomes you to stop by anytime during regular business hours. Most dogs get to play with others according to size and temperament of course. Those that need to be separated (training, developing socialization skills, etc.) will get extra one-on-one time with the staff. The first day at KETCH is a meet-and-greet day; staff gets to know your dog, (likes/dislikes), and we place them in their proper play group, if they get along with the other dogs or prefer to be near the others, and most importantly, they are happy and comfortable at KETCH. Daycare and boarding dogs' daily schedule: - 6:00 am - 3:00 pm - playtime - 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm - quiet time and dinner feeding - 5:00 pm - 9:30 pm - hand walks and playtime Overnight sleeping and feedings are spent in crates. We do not have runs here, and all dogs are crated separately. They all get a minimum of 12 potty breaks daily. During playtime, they alternate from an air-conditioned indoor and outdoor playground (weather permitting). They always have availability to fresh water in the playgrounds and in their crate. For boarding, we ask that the trial day be as soon as possible to allow for any additional days of daycare that might be needed. Most dogs do get overnight approval on the first day, but some need more daycare before we can approve an overnight stay. We are open Mon - Thurs, from 6:00 am - 8:30 pm, and Fri., from 6:00 am - 7:30 pm. Saturdays and Sundays - our front office and daycare are closed. We do have staff to take care of our weekend boarding dogs, which enjoy the same playtime as weekday. We do ask that any topical flea preventative (Frontline, etc.) be applied at least 2 days prior to their stay (48 hours) to allow for full efficacy and so they can safely play with others. We need all paperwork completed and a copy of current vaccination records (vet receipt accepted) prior to your dog entering our facility. Vaccinations and tests are required, such as distemper, parvo, rabies, bordatella, negative heartworm test, and negative fecal test. Titers are accepted.
